Hey all

Went to screening of Nobel Son at 6pm last night. Was hoping for an Eliza sighting, but no such luck. At the screening were the director (Randall Miller), Mary Steenburgen, Bryan Greenberg, and..um...someone else.

Thought I'd answer some Eliza related questions that I posed to myself. If you have any, please ask away

Will try to keep as spoiler free as possible.

How much Eliza in the movie?

Eliza first appears about 15-20 minutes into the movie. She's on for about 12-15 minutes, then her character disappears for a long time. She appears again for the last 20 minutes or so of the movie. Not one of the main characters, but when she's onscreen you know it

Can you tell us about the character she plays?

"City Hall" is an artist, poet, and complete nuutjob lol. Don't want to give too much away, but Eliza does crazy great. I haven't seen every frame of every movie/TV show Eliza has appeared in, but this has to be her most sexed-up role. I don't want to get spoilerish, so it's hard to go much further.

Is she nude in the film?

Nope, sorry. Well, we don't see anything anyway. Bryan Greenberg is a lucky man lol. She does wear a lot of skimpy outfits showing tons of cleavage. To answer any body double questions, I think it's all Eliza all the time.

Did you like the movie?

Is was pretty freaky. If you suspend belief at the plot as the movie moves along, it's a fun ride.
Fine job by the other actors in the film...always been a big Alan Rickman fan. Is a bit gruesome at parts. Some in the audience were a bit taken aback I think. Also quite funny.

Tidbits

-Might have just been the theater we were in, but the movie was LOUD. The couple in front of me seemed to be really annoyed by the volume and left early.
-A minute into the movie, some dude in the theater passed out or something. Heard loud screams of "Is there a doctor in the house?" They carrried him out without any interuption of the movie. Not sure if he just fainted, or was shocked by the movies particularly gruesome opening scene.

Guess that's it...sorry, kinda suck at this, A professional reviewer I am not. If you have any questions about Eliza or the movie, feel free to ask. If they are too spoilerish, I will PM ya if ok.

Yea..there are things about living in NYC that drive you nuts at times.
But then you can sit a couple rows away from Eliza when she is on stage in Dog Sees God, or see a movie like this that might not open in "regular" theaters for months, it evens things out.

I'm such a miserable person that instead of hoping the person was ok, I was all "ugh...please don't tell me they're going to stop the movie and put up the lights for this guy."
And hey...I wiped the drool off his jacket and apologized profusely..no reason to leave early.....geez ;)

^ hehe, they should have anticipated there would be drool, have people there to deal with it, and tried not to disturb people's film enjoyment!!!

They soooo should have been prepared. Once they knew it was a Dushku event, precautions should have been taken. Kinda like the Moist Towelettes they have at rib places, or those plastic bibs they give you at your more affordable lobster palaces.

I am so not at fault here.

Someone needed a doctor? Woah - the worst I've seen is a couple leaving during Closer - never had anyone pass out or whatever lol. Otherwise, it sounds good - very intrigued to see it!
