I had the chance (and the pleasure) to talk to Dave McLaughlin, writer and director of 'On Broadway' and thanks (a lot) to him we have some new info on the movie. Interested? He said they are "all very excited about "On Broadway." It's just a lovely film. And Eliza is wonderful in it." Also, there is no release date yet for the US or Europe. They will be bringing the film to a number of festivals, starting in late April. but he doesn't expect to have full release information until March at the earliest. A new picture from behind the scenes. ![]() short interview and picture, credit goes to truefan-eliza.com |

| Junior Member ![]() ![]() ![]() | Just found this on Truefan-Eliza.com: ""On Broadway" will have its world premiere at the Independent Film Festival of Boston (www.iffboston.org). We're very excited about this. It's a great festival, and of course for many of us on the team - myself, Eliza, Joey McIntyre, and others - it's a chance to come home to Boston and share the movie with our families and friends right away!" Just checked the site and what's interesting is that this festival is from April 25-30. However, Tribeca is from April 25-May 6. I hope she can be in both of them! |

The program, to be announced today, includes films by first-time director Sarah Polley, as well as Hal Hartley, Michael Corrente, and the world premiere of writer/director Dave McLaughlin's movie, "On Broadway," which was shot around Boston last summer. Hartley's film "Fay Grim" opens the festival April 25 at the Somerville Theatre, and there's a possibility that the star, Parker Posey, will make the scene. (Producer Ted Hope and co star James Urbaniak are confirmed.) "On Broadway" screens the next night at the Somerville Theatre, and word is actress Eliza Dushku will be in the house. Also of interest is the Latin baseball flick "Rumbo a Las Grandes," which features Sox slugger David Ortiz. http://www.boston.com/news/globe/liv...ease_stand_up/ --- This probably means that she'll be there on the 25th, so she should be back on NY on the 28th for Nobel Son. ![]() |
