| The episode by itself wasn't bad. It was a little more entertaining than usual. I liked that Tru had to go back and back and back But it would be alot funnier if they injected some actual comedy into this show. The stuff they did do was kind of lam.e Plus the theme of every episode is that she spends the entire time saving someone. Not only does this make for an incredible boring and underdeveloped character but it also produces a very repetitive pattern to all the stories. I still don't know where this show is headed. She just saves and saves and saves ppl and there appears to be no arc at all for the season. |

| Member ![]() | Ok, let's review. Altough I could agree with prior comments about the repetitive storyline, this episode was one of my favourites. But I'll get to that later. Yes, the characters didn't improve visually in this story, because there was simply not enough time to go into that. but htere was certainly a learning process going on that went way beyond figuring out the way to save people. This episode was relying on the fact that finding answers to someone's death sometimes takes more than one day. Tru's mission isn't always about saving lives, it's more often about correcting mistakes. People who shouldn't have died need to be saved, but sometimes it's just the opposite. (I know we had that in episode 2 already, but this one here was making a clearer point to that subject.) To me, this story is about the worth of a human life. And Tru was sent out several times until she realized it. if someone close to us passes away or even dies in an unnatural way, we mourn him and can't believe how this could happen to this person we love so much. But on a more objective side (the side of Tru in this case), we might find out that even this horrible thing happened for a reason. Maybe we will never understand it or see it, but the fact remains that a reason actually could be there. And this time it was on Tru to find out the reason, not to save the one that actually had to die. But her interventions changed the course of events, and thus things didn't happen the way they were supposed to. Now my guess is, THAT'S the reason all the other people died. So the day could rewind to let Tru try again, each time with a little more information on her hand. This episode made me think about all those issues (and some more, but this shouldn't get too long). It is defintely one of my favourite episodes. Sure, the characters didn't improve, but this one was about other things and that can be of a big importance too. Tru is always learning something, as are we. So her character does change over the time, one way or another. An the ep made me form my own thoughts about the topic. And to mkae you think and reflect beyond the actual storyline is a very good quality. And I also think there is an arc in this series. but just like Tru had to in this ep, we have to find out step by step. The whole meaning of life and death is a huge topic to follow. And therefore we have to wait and see... So, 'til next week then! Greets Lambsilencer |
