Nah, you're not being negative, I thought the same myself. I think ratings would have to really plummet to have them cancel before the end of the month, if anything the publicity for the show later in the month is giving the show breathing space. We really should be looking at this as a positive, Tru is on safe ground for the rest of the month... thankyou Conan!

You have a good point. But what worried me is that FOX cancelled Skin after only three episodes, and it was getting numbers close to TC's numbers. But lets hope FOX is being patient with it because of the hard, hard timeslot.

And Conan definately is GREAT for promotion.

Let's hope he drops the Arnold impersenation for 5 minutes and let's Eliza do some promotion [img]graemlins/ohwell.gif[/img]

To answer that I just say watch the episode from a few years back just after Letterman had heart surgery and he had Gillian Anderson on his show. She totally turned it around and made it all about him, it was the funniest thing ever.

i'de have to say the eliza episode was the best ever but the one with mike tyson and anold on the TV was funny as

Sadaam Huissien on the tv was funny too. "Conan its ok you can tell the president he doesnt have to send weapons inspectors I checked and I didnt find anything" lol

Jess I think they do that because they're just making fun of what everyone said the millenium would be. Like in 1998 they were like "oh yeah, flying cars!" and I was thinking "Damn...that's only two years!" LOL

The Ted Nugent/Dana Carvey one was funny. The next time I see it though, I might also shed a tear. Why? Because that was John Ritter's last appearance on Conan.

There's very little chance that Tru would be canceled before Nov. 19 because Fox has little reason to do so.

With Skin, the show as doing so much worse than their averages for Monday, they had cancel it.

With Tru, it's not doing any worse than their normal Thursday programming, so it's maintaining the status quo. There's no incentive to cancel since they have nothing to replace it with.

The worse that could happen right now if the ratings dropped substantially is that Fox could halt production, but I think Eliza would still appear on Conan if that happened.

Talk shows aren't going to bug a guest about their show failing.

I wonder if Eliza hasn't appeared on any talk shows until now since the other networks were afraid to give Tru Calling any publicity? So now that Tru isn't a threat to Friend's ratings, NBC will let Eliza appear on their network.

I wonder too. Maybe they thought the show was going to fail. But they've been proven wrong so far [img]smile.gif[/img] . Hopefully Eliza being on Conan will help to give more promo to the show (if he gives Eliza a chance).

yay! this is good...I'm hoping that once Freinds is done at the end of this season, there will be more people watching Tru next year.

Yes, I remember. I didn't want to go there though for the same reason you'll shed a tear - I just loved the guy. He was great in that cooking segment too. I think he was putting stuff down his pants!! Anything for a laugh.
