This isn't 'new' news, but i posted it on other forums last year and it opened up a nice discussion about how great her singing voice is...

Lynne McNamara, Backlot columnist for the Vancouver Sun reported last year:

"We hear that Eliza Dushku, here shooting her Fox series Tru Calling until mid-December, had the crowd at Saigon Fusion, a karaoke and dance club on Broadway, mesmerized the other night with her version of Madonna's Like A Prayer. "She sure knows how to work it!," say my spies, who report she had the sexy songstress' moves down pat."

It says that she has her moves down pat - not that she can actually sing. ;)

The Dupars clip is too short to tell if she is a good singer or not. Theres no way she'd be capable of high notes (her voice often breaks even when shes just talking) but singing lower end bluesy songs (Joss Stone comes to mind), she could be quite listenable...

Her energy and charisma could make up for a lack of technical skills too...

Eliza has said she likes to sing, but she doesn't consider herself a good singer.

I think Eliza is one of those people who sings as loudly as possible and doesnt care about singing in tune or sounding good, a person who sings for their own enjoyment and not for others.

Shes said in articles that her neighbours complained about her singing too loud and that she uses her singing voice as a 'weapon'.

If I was having a karaoke party she'd be first on my invite list - of course, she'd be first on my list for any type party :D

On the DVD Commentary for ''The Longest Day'' they show where her neighbour is doing the song and they mention that Eliza actually played it like she couldnt sing when in fact she has a very strong voice. She didnt say anything in response to this it was just the Producer Jon and also Zach talking about her voice

I wouldnt deny she has a strong voice, but its not the sort of voice that would be suited to all kinds of songs. You've only got to hear her scream in Wrong Turn to know she'd have trouble with high notes, possibly due to her previous vocal chord problems....
