Found this:
I'm behind a firewall/NAT, can I use BitTorrent?
Yes, but you will get better performance if other peers can connect to you. By default, BitTorrent listens on port 6881, trying incrementially higher ports if it's unable to bind, and gives up after 6889 (the port range is configurable). It's up to you to figure out how to poke a hole in your firewall/NAT.
I have a firewall too, not the windows one though, so it must be something else...Did you go to the helppage
Bittorrent help ?

I got mine off BitTorrent but I`m not getting a picture... only sound. Anyone know how I can fix this? Is it a Real Player problem?
Cheers.

The codec thing, I downloaded a lot of codecs through the years, so I don't know which one you should need. But did you try to play the file with Mediaplayer, that one sometimes searches for the right codec. Or it could be the divx codec or the xvid mpeg-4 codec, they are pretty important sometimes I noticed... Oh, and I play most of my files with realone player, the better version of realplayer, you could try to download that one.
Hope this helps for all of you,
