These websites usually don't make a difference, but I guess its good to start supporting the show any way we can...especially now that the premiere date is so close.

That site shouldn't even be allowing voting yet, it's so unfair that those thirty people have voted for it to be cancelled when they haven't even seen the finished product of one episode yet. Thank god the website means nothing in the scheme of things.

I really don't think those things mean anything. Thats a good thing for us since so many people just randomly vote for shows to be cancelled when they haven't even seen it or when it hasn't even premiered yet, but its bad since so many people here are voting for it to stay on the air and it won't make much of a difference. FOX should listen to the people for once, dammit.

Thanks for the link. Voted yes (of course). But one person's voted for the couldn't care either way option. But most votes are going to yes which is nice.

But does it mean were paranoid in getting these sites up before the pilots being shown?

Well, earlier FOX said that the internet is what they look for, for the big buzzes about their shows. I think it'll help

After watching so many shows like Firefly, Dark Angel, John Doe, Freakylinks, Harsh Realm, Lone Gunmen, Pasadena and countless others get canceled by Fox, there's no time for us to be optimistic about it.

It's Fox's fault that people aren't going to tune in because they already know the show won't last five episodes. They've canceled so many shows that people aren't going to watch until we know that the fans are going to fight for this show.

This is what Matt Roush from TV Guide said:
If Joe Millionaire continues to tank, I'm not sure what Fox will do on Tuesdays. But I wouldn't count on Tru Calling getting the call. This does look like another sacrificial loser, especially in this killer time period and with Fox's lousy track record for standing behind its weirder shows. All I can say, though, is that if the core audience of genre fans decide not to watch because they've already decided it's doomed, then the show is as DOA as those bodies Tru oversees in the morgue.

When you have the media called Tru doomed, the fans can't sit on their hands. We can't be saying we should have done something earlier.

With Firefly, there were fans so convinced by Fox's rhetoric that they were standing by the show that when Adam Baldwin posted on the official Firefly board that production had halted and the show as in affect canceled, many didn't believe him. Those were people not actively trying to save the show. We can't have that happen. We have to believe that Fox will cancel the show. John Doe was the best premiere Fox had had on Fridays since X-Files and it still was canceled. So it really doesn't even matter how good the ratings are for the premiere.

That being said, I'm thinking that if Tru doesn't premiere to a 6 or better in the overnights (what John Doe got), and Skin and Joe Millionaire continue to suck, the first push of the Support Tru campaign is to get it moved to another night. I want people like Matt Roush ripping Fox to shreads for keeping Tru on Thursdays.

All this FOX discussion in the last month is making my head spin. It would be so much easier if it was on The WB. From that list alone that you posted F_F, at least three of the shows were critically acclaimed. FOX could have a lot of high quality shows on their schedule if they didn't work they way they did. It seems they care more about IMMEDIATE ratings and what something is getting every single week than the overall picture. Didn't they ever hear of letting a show grow an audience?

EW had a comment on Tru Calling:
"A show about a girl who can change the future. If the show doesn't get cancelled then we'll know she really can." See the reputation FOX has?

Except for baseball and the O.C. ratings have not been good for FOX.

I expect mainstays such as Bernie Mac, That 70's Show, Malcolm in the Middle, King of the Hill and the Simpsons to see a decline in ratings, although not much of one.

Stan Hooper might have potential.

Ways You Can Help Tru!

Tomorrow (Thursday October 30th) Tru Calling premieres on Fox at 8pm. Some in the media aren't giving it much of a chance, but they're underestimating the power of the Tru Calling fans.

So no matter what the ratings or reviews are for the show, if all of us work together, we can not only keep TC on the air, but make it a success:

Here's a few simple things you can do to help Tru:

1) Visit the official TC Site and post on the official Tru Calling message board frequently.
http://www.fox.com/trucalling/

Fox uses number of hits and posts on the forum to measure the interest in a show. This is a prime way to send a message to Fox about the fan interest in TC.

2) Join the Official Tru Calling Fan Club. It's free and it's just an email newsletter. This is another great way to show Fox TC's popularity.

3) Put a TC banner on your website or on your message board signature file.

You can find many banners at: http://www.supporttrucalling.com/banners.html http://www.trucalling-fans.com/dl/banners/banner.htm http://www.tru-forum.com/index.php?showtopic=57

4). Tell as many people as you can to watch Tru Calling. Post on message boards. Remind your friends and family to watch. Put a sign on your car. Anything! We need as many people to tune in as possible and we need to recruit as many fans as possible!

Love all the work you're doing to promote the show, Faith_Fan. Also, the TC holiday is a great idea, I forget who mentioned it. I've seen a lot of signatures at the Buffy forum at SMGboard with Tru Calling mentioned in the signature, including mine. That forum gets a lot of visits, I hope it will make a difference.

I've been posting at the official TC forum as much as I can...

I know I live in Canada and viewers aren't counted here, but I'm telling all my friends to watch. It can't hurt, right? I'm not sure if any Canadian channel has picked it up. As of right now I'm watching it on FOX. If a Canadian channel does pick it up, I'll make sure to tune in there...they might keep playing it. I'd like it if TC turned into a show that had a lot of international fans, like what happened to Buffy & Angel.

Everyone email AskFox at: askfox@foxinc.com and request that they air an encore of the Tru Calling pilot.

Say something like you wanted to watch it but couldn't for some reason and you would like them to air an encore.

It's worth a shot. If there's a large number of emails requesting it, maybe Fox may figure there's an untapped audience out there.
