Who Bought Their 'Wrong Turn' DVD? - Page 2

Finally saw the movie. [img]smile.gif[/img] As a huge horror movie fan, I was impressed. The whole movie was shot like and reminded me of "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre", one of my favorite horror movies. I loved the direction of the movie, it really made it stand out from your average horror movie. And I also loved the gore...it deserved that R rating. :D I loved the idea of the villians...we don't really see WHY they're doing what they're doing, but we don't need to. They're crazy cannibalistic monsters...enough said!

I loved the scene were they first went to the cannibal's house...very cool. So much like the seen in "Chainsaw Massacre". Another thing I liked was that the majority of the movie took place in the woods, and these weren't just bimbo blonde teens getting hacked to bits. Eliza's character was very mature and so was Desmond Harrington's, and the engaged couple weren't that bad. Eliza fit well into the movie, I actually wouldn't mind seeing her in another horror movie soon. My favorite scene of hers has to be when they were in the house hiding from the monster and they saw their friend's dead body. Also, when she was screaming as she stabbed the bastard with an axe. :D

LOL Well said Andrew. And the other couple (two canadian actors actuaLLY lol) would have lived if they weren't to damn busy smoking up and sucking off lol.

I feel like such a loner. Everyone's seen it but me. :D No worries. I'm definately picking it.

Speaking of "Texas Chainsaw Massacre," they released the old version with lots of extra's. It's suppose to be coming out this month sometime. It may already be out. It's to promote the remake, which I plan on going to opening night! ;) Can't wait!

Yeah, lil_faith, it seems like having ANY kind of sex in a horror movie means that you will die no matter what.

I'm going to start watching the extra features tomorrow, can't wait for the commentary. :D

All you Aussies can pre-order at the address below, it's set to be released Wed Dec 3rd which is about the same date as the US release of Firefly I think, but it doesn't list the special features, so I guess it might be safer to order from the US. I'm gonna go see how much it is on amazon. Still I am not sure where I am going to get it from cause when I got Amber Bensons chance, it would not play on my DVD player... which is a Multiregion player so I was pretty pissed about it not playing. I am just hoping that it's only region 0 DVD's it won't play cause I have another dvd by the drop dead murphys that also won't play and I think that is also region 0.

LOL Andrew, it's one of the rules in Scream.

I can't wait to see Jessical Biel getting chopped up into little pieces...but that's just a personal opinion.

I went into the record store by my school and I Just like...stared at the WT DVD LOL

I don't know why they cast Jessica Biel in the new TCM. They could have gotten someone much better. The movie has 6 positive and 4 negative over at Rotten Tomatoes, which is surprising. I expected much worse.

Now back to WT...I know what you mean lil_faith, I kind of just stared at it for a second when I saw it downtown because I didn't actually expect that it would be there. I'm such a dork. [img]graemlins/orbit.gif[/img]

Linz, do like I did, order it from an american online store. You need a region free or region 1 player tho.

My dad got it for me off the net which kind of sucks because I know I can't watch it until it gets here!! I really hope it gets here soon because I can't wait to see the movie for the fourth time and I want to see all the special features!! I am super excited but I was kind of mad because I am all I wanted to just go to the store and buy it so I could watch it the same day but maybe he got rush delivery or something. Oh yeah and it as only like sixteen bucks! Cool huh? I guess he found a certain site that always has cheap stuff!! SO double yay for me all I got to do now is wait for it to come. I am thinking I am going to rent it though just to see it again!! I love this movie!!!!!!

OMG!! I bought my copy friday!! And I listen to it with my friends and they all liked it!!! They were scared!!! Wrong turn is a great movie!! I saw it in theatre and there were like 5 people in the theatre!! It was scary!!

Awesome, I got my copy of Wrong Turn yesterday along with Matrix Reloaded after watching Kill Bill. I haven't watched Wrong Turn with the commentary yet, but I've just seen the extras.

Well, I don't have any money to buy it right now. However, I am gonna ask for it for xmas. Region-free dvd players rock. I'm also getting one for xmas, hopefully. I don't understand region encoding, why not just make them all acessable?? Grrr. [img]tongue.gif[/img] Sorry Linz. :(

I just rewatched it for the second time with a friend last night, liked it even more. I'm surprised that I'm not disappointed with the movie...when you wait for something for so long you usually end up being disappointed, but I seriously wasn't for TC. Its such a unique horror movie...I actually wouldn't mind to see Eliza star in another horror movie like this sometime in the future.

I bought it on the weekend. I was very impressed with it and had lots of fun watching it. Very likable characters and creepy story. I liked it so much, I watched all the special features and commentary right after I was done! ;) The movie would've been cool even without Eliza, but having her in it made it all the more enjoyable. :D
