Doug Petrie is apparantly going to write or produce The WB's upcoming show 'Lost in Space'. Is this bad news for TC? Does that mean hes no longer working for the show? Or does that mean he expects its going to fail so hes looking for work for when TC isn't airing anymore?

Lost in Space the show!

God thats an even worse idea than that stupid "Tarsan" show. *The most homoerotic thing I have ever seen* I hope he stays.

Well.....it's hard to imagine he'll be working for both shows. Although, Joss did a bunch of things simultaneously. I have no clue about this.

Apparently Doug is going to be an executive Producer for Lost In Space, so he is going to be very involved in that pilot. He probably could work on that and Tru, but I don't think it's a really good sign if he's moving on to another project. Working on Lost in Space is probably a huge deal for Doug, and it sounds like he'd have a key role in show, so it's a bigger project for him than Tru Calling.

I think it comes down to (like F_F said) that Doug will have a much larger role in Lost in Space than on TC. Of course that attracts him to that show. But if it doesnt get picked up, he could return to TC (?).

WEll...Joss Whedon PRODUCED three shows at once and wrote for all of them so...LOL. Doug Petrie is just writing for TC, he has no bigger role. I think we'll be ok :D

Thanks, Faith_Fan. I guess I can't blame him for wanting to be a part of something like that when he has the chance to have such a huge part creatively. You guys are right, hes only WRITING for TC, but still...

Well if he's writing for TC, then that's ok. Isn't it?
