Faith's last name to be revealed

Faith's Last Name To Be Revealed...
Thur, Sep 23, 2004

Eden studios , who make the Buffy roleplaying games, wondered what fans have for a long time now - what is Faith's last name? Fox requested that Joss and Mutant Enemy help Eden Studios out, and had them create last names for Faith and Kendra. These names will be used in all Buffyverse related comics, games, novels, etc.

FTVS.com will let you know as soon as Eden Studios reveals Faith's last name (much to the chagrin of fan fiction writers out there).

they have the surnames over at eden but their not revealing anything..!!!!

Because Faith is Faith, she's an enigma, if Faith had needed a last name they would have given her one in the course of the show and they didn't, with reason I would suspect. In the case of Kenda, they actually went out of their way to say she had no last name, so they're killing continuity just to satisfy some nerdy RPG fans. It just sucks.

Even if they do give her a name, she's always be simply Faith to me.

See, part of me doesn't even want Faith to be her real name, I like the idea she may have given it to herself and that's why there's no surname. A new name that has no association with the life she led, a new name that represents what she wants to have in herself now.

But that idea is killed now, I know it would never have been that but I liked it being so open to interpretation. *sigh*

I hope it's something horrendously boring like Smith (apologies to anyone with this last name.. it's just Faith Smith sounds kinda funny [img]tongue.gif[/img] )

I don't want her to have a last name either.

If ME was going to give Faith a last name, the time to have done it was when she was in prison. (either in Judgement or in Angel Season 4). At least it's something Joss has okayed, but it seems rather anti-climatic. Hopefully ME came up with something good. I've never really liked most of the fan fiction last names for Faith (sorry fanfic writers). I'd assume they might go with something that sounds Albanian to fit Eliza, but it'll probably be something generic or the name of some ME writer's dog (Finn is Marti Noxon's dog). My guess - Faith Arden. (Arden is Joss' son's name)

But yeah, I dont want Faith to have a last name! I hope they dont call her Faith Spencer/Winter as oh so many people seem to do. It'll be interesting to see what they come up with, but to me she'll always be just Faith.

Any surname they give her won't be canon, so you can pretty much ignore it. If it wasn't said on the show, I'm firmly of the opinion that it doesn't count. lol

think of the twist if it was Faith Patell, or Faith Hamazaki....that last one could be quite cool...she could be like adopted by these Japanese martial arts teachers, and raised on a farm waxing cars.....think of the reunion dudes

I've been thinking about it again, and after watching the Simpons, I don't really want to know Faith's surname. It's like finding out Comicbook Guy's name.
