I just don't think most people are the mood, I mean looking over this board and others I've visited in the last week, it's really been a dead period for what is a critical time in Eliza's career. And I don't think that has to do with them not wanting the show or not supporting Eliza, it's just people are pretty empathetic about the situation. Some people rally on, get to work and put all their energy into a single goal... others just don't have the energy and frankly, I feel like all mine was taken the day it was pushed back to 2005, let alone any of this cancellation shit. | I know plenty of Eliza fans who are more than happy to see TC go. They simply didn't like the show and wouldn't watch it even for Eliza. I hope she stays away from TV, even though a reoccuring guest spot in Alias would be really cool. I would love nothing more than to see Eliza take on an action role again. Sci-Fi fans really are tired. Our campaigns to save Angel and Wonderfalls came to nothing. I don't have the energy yo go through all that again. It's really sad that the only Sci-Fi show we have is "Charmed". |

It is sad that the shows done and dusted, not just because of eliza but i REALLY honestly did take to the characters. Harrison was so sweet and just getting his grounding, Davis was lovable and funny, and i get there was alot more to him than meets the eye, and i have to admit zach did an excellent job getting that characterisation down. I wanted to know where there characters would go and how they would develope, i wanted to know how tru and harrison were going to deal with finding out the truth about their father. The fact that the season finale was so awesome, and did nothing but pave way for season two just rubs salt into the wounds. I just hope another network will take it on sometime int he future, until then i hope we see those actors again in other projects.

If Fox halts production and doesn't intend to air it, it's canceled, whether Fox admits it or not or whether it's official now or in May. But there are plenty of fans going insisting that Variety is just rumors that TC will air some time in the future. While its fantastic to be positive, it does no good. And a lot of fans are campaigned out. They've spend the past years trying to save some show like Angel, Firefly or Dark Angel and been screwed by Fox. I know it might be impossible to save TC. Tim Minear told the Wonderfalls fans that there was absolutely nothing we could do to save Wonderfalls. Even if we spent tens of thousands of dollars, there were higher ups at Fox that didn't like the show. So Wonderfalls fans spending 8 hours a day calling Fox and leaving messages for Gail Berman was doing nothing since her bosses didn't like Wonderfalls. If that's the case with TC, there's nothing we can do. At the Wolfram & Hart Revue, David Fury, Jeff Bell and Tim Minear were telling Angel fans not to waste their money. Really, what the Save Angel/Saving Angel and various campaigns accomplished wasn't getting Angel back, but more publicity (and work)for David Boreanaz and Joss Whedon. And I really do think that the Save Angel campaign saved Tru. Gail Berman (president of Fox Broadcasting) was a Buffy exec-producer and was the one with the idea to turn the failed Buffy movie into a tv show because she wanted to do a show about a strong female character targeted at teen girls. She's been trying to re-create Buffy on Fox (with shows like Dark Angel). I believe that the fight for Angel gave Gail enough clout to get those higher up at Fox to give Tru and Eliza a chance at another season, since they need another show like Buffy that brings in profits based on syndication and dvd sales but not high ratings. The whole reason I started STC was I didn't want Eliza in a failed star vehicle. It's hard for actors to recover from their shows being canceled. Unfortunately, the way TC is going out doesn't show much confidence from Fox in Eliza. The bigger of a campaign for TC, the more publicity for Eliza and it will probably end up with Fox wanting to put her in another show, not revive TC. I'd like to see Eliza do a guest stint on West Wing or maybe a comedy like Scrubs or Will & Grace. Some show that's critically acclaimed. Or go to cable and do a major guest appearance on something like Sopranos or Nip/Tuck. But Eliza on Arrested Development would be the best casting idea in the world. Okay, one failed Fox show to another isn't much better, but Eliza would kick butt on AD.

| if this show is indeed been givin the boot. Kinda makes me go because she spent alot of time at comic book show gatherings promoting the show and doing autographs. San Diego's had a great turnout. But me personaly im not a big fan of TC. Just never got into it dispite eliza being in it. Maybe something better will come along. She needs to focus on some decent movies. Jessica alba seems to be going strong after Dark Angel got axed by stupid fox, i think eliza could too. I would mark out(wrestling term that means getting excited) if a faith tv show came about. |

But since I had nothing to do I checked out some of the shows that are on those three networks and in my mind she could do a guest apperance on. | I'd love to see Eliza do comedy. We all know that she can be really funny. I agree that "Joey" is a big no-no. It's doomed. I think Aressted Development is doomed too unless it wins an emmy and get a liitle viewership. Don't know if I can stomach watching AD right now. I hate FOX so much that I might start watching "Charmed" instead. If the rumors that Sam Rami wants Eliza to play Black Cat on Spiderman 3 are true then the big movie rolls are already coming in. I can't think of anyone more perfect for the role. [ September 19, 2004, 12:48 PM: Message edited by: JustMe ] |
