Dushku Adds Her Name To Wonder Woman List

Sexy Eliza Dushku has come from nowhere to lead the race for the new Wonder Woman movie.

After months of speculation, the actress has declared she wants the superheroine role - and experts feel sure she's a leading contender because she's a favourite actress of writer/director Joss Whedon.

Dushku, who worked with Whedon on cult TV show Buffy The Vampire Slayer and spin-off Angel, says she'd like to be considered for the role.

Speaking to film website MovieHole.net at Saturday's Wizard World Convention in Boston, Massachusetts, Dushku said, "Joss is doing a little movie called Wonder Woman. I'd slap on the Dukes for that!"

Others reportedly in contention for the Wonder Woman lead include Dushku's former Buffy co-star Charisma Carpenter, Kim Basinger and Mischa Barton.

A petition is NOT a bad idea, it would be great. Remember the "Save Angel" one? It was big enough to be mentioned in magazines.

We should calaborate a Voting Campain for E. Have her picture on Voting poster adds, with her face. Hell, I'd love to photoshop an artist rendering of her as Wonder Woman, even draw her in great detail as comic book rendering. Color it, make it precised. I'm passionate in my projects. If you all ask me, I'll do ALL of the above [img]smile.gif[/img] Seriously, I'm a good artist in photoshop and drawing pencil and ink.

Hearing of this, Eliza strikes me as Vinny Chase in "Entourage" when he decides he wants the role of Aquaman.

mmm,im in two minds bout it,joss ,in my view is a genius,when it comes to writing and directing there is none better,as long as the script is excellent,im sure it will be if joss is writing,i may be going back on what ive said in previous posts!but im just concerned that it mite damage elizas future film roles ?if it goes badly wrong.i think we just av to wait and see,you just never know how things work untill you try them, excellent work on the ww images :yummy:personly i think it was a tounge in cheek comment!

Posted these before in the various other Wonder Woman threads but the second one is my favourite.. I just wish I had it bigger... so hot

Yes, they did. They also said Eliza was deeply religeous (or words to that effect) after her 'I always wear a cross when flying' story [img]smile.gif[/img]

I dont really see Eliza as WW (I'd rather Joss went for an unknown), but I love the pics [img]smile.gif[/img]

Hey,

I hope that eliza gets the role. I was reading the Glasgow edition of the Metro newspaper, and there was a review on Joss Whedon's serenity. There was also a small caption of the article dedicated to wonderwoman, in which it said that SMG was in the running for wonderwoman.

Booooooooooooooooooooooo to SMG, Hurrah for Eliza!!!

Nice pics but I still stand on the opinion this is going to be another Waterworld movie and for the sake of her career she should put aside her love of Joss's work and realize how ridiculous this movie sounds. I mean doesn't anyone else besides me look at these pics of the outfit, her fabulous figure aside, and realize how campy and disastrous this is. If she wants to be a heroine, there are a lot of other avenues she could pursue w/out this much risk.

As far as starting a campaign, I'd start one to bring Tru Calling back to another channel that may push it better. With the big show losses coming at the end of the season (Smallville, Alias) there may be a market for it now.
