Nope, it's filmed in Canada, Vancouver to be precise. Not sure where Tru is supposed to live.

They're pretty non-specific now in terms of what city it takes place, it was meant to be NY though.

Ok, I really thought Tru was suppose to be set in Massachusetts, if you look on the license plates of the cars, they look like mass. license plates. The Red and Blue, I live in the southern part of New Hampshire so i see mass. plates all the time, but that is just my obeservation of where I was thinking the show took place. O well.

i think it's NYC even if it's filmed in Vancouver Eliza could have said it is Watertown since she is from there.

The script for the pilot had a lot of mentions of New York City which were removed. A few hints remain, like they've mentioned Luc going to Rochester NY.

But the only thing said in the show is "the city". Maybe it's a Tick reference.

It's difficult to pass off Vancouver for New York, so I think they've stopped trying and just won't say what city it is.

Although I do think someone needs to write Tru/The Tick crossover fan fic where they defend "The City" together.
