Valentine-themed ep this week. Don't forget to tune in! Synopsis: "Tru's excited that Valentine's Day has arrived because she can finally take a small vacation with Luc and get away from both of her "jobs." When bad weather forces them to change venues, they end up at the same resort where Harrison has taken Lindsay. There, Tru discovers the body of a guy who had asked her for a ride at a rest stop earlier. The day rewinds, and Tru is determined not to let him get to the resort and meet his fate. Despite her best efforts, the guy does make it back there on the re-do day, and Tru races to find out who among the guests would want to kill him. Comparing notes with Davis back at the morgue, Tru learns that the circumstances surrounding the guy's death match those of a series of murders back in the city. Tru finally does discover who the serial killer is, but it's the very last person she would have guessed…"

This is the first ep I've gotten to watch in a loooooong time! (Don't worry, my friends have been taping!) Anyways... Lindsay is probably my second favorite character, after Tru. Well, Lindsay and Harrison, they both rock out. When she was walking with Kevin I actually thought I was going to cry. I was like "THEY CAN'T DO THAT!!!" The show was pretty good, though a little bit predictable. I knew Kevin was the killer as soon as that other guy was cleared. I didn't even think about the trucker being the killer after they suspected him. I watch to many horror movies LOL. I was SO sad for Tru at the end. For frig sakes Luc is stupid! LOL. I mean, I like him and everything, and her boyfriend could be way worst...but I felt like I was watching Buffy and Scott Hope all over again. Jesus Tru, just tell him! LOL

I'm personally glad that Luc ended it with Tru. I like Tru the character, but it would be extremely stupid of him to just stay in that relationship knowing so little about her and always having to be on the sidelines while she runs off saving people's lives. I see where shes coming from not wanting to tell him...but he deserved to know more. I don't think it'll be the last time we see him though.

It palyed well with the slasher film genre, without becoming too predictable. Yeah, I guessed the killer once, but then swapped to the sister way too early... so I still was a bit surprised at the end, but not too much, because these two were the only ones that could have been the killer (or killers). The "decoy" with the older guys was just too lame to be a possibilty (or else it would have been really annoying). The motive for the killings was a great. Normally it's all about killing people who deserve to die in the eyes of the killer, it's never about the ones left behind. To kill someone so to let other people suffer from the loss is a nice idea. Sick, but nice and fairly new. The ending was nice too. And it suited the characters quite well. I for one was starting to think: "Damn this Luc thing will turn out like Lois & Clark. How many times will he believe the same excuses? He gotta have suspicions, why not following her for once to find out more?" Harriosn and Lindsay of course end up together again, they just lust for each other too much to let go. But Tru and Luc had a reationship based on trust and a deeper feeling of love. And Tru continouously broke that trust by keeping Luc in the dark. I for one was sure he would not accept this for long... the end to this ep was a consequence of Tru's actions towards her boyfriend. Any other reaction would have been a betrayal to Luc's character. But if all is so great, why is the ep not that great itself? Well simply because it played out in too familiar fashion. When I started to watch the show, I thought to myself: "This will dry out very soon. How many times can you pull this Groundhog day/Sixth sense routine before it becomes boring?" Well, this ep was the first that reminded me of that tought. It was a nice twist with the dead guy being the killer, but the rest was standard Tru Calling stuff, which I've seen quite often before. There were a lot of episodes that showed how you can turn this idea around and make it new all over again, but here there was nothing new about it. The serial killer plot was pretty standard too, so besides some nice character scenes and a cool motive for the killngs, this ep just felt a little shallow. But it was good entertainment for 45 minutes, and that's something not every show can provide. And don't you guys think A.J. Cook is a very hot gal? Her walk-in in the beginning, weraing that red miniskirt...gorgeous! Too bad she changed for the rest of the ep....but the again, the show itself is not that shallow... ![]() Greets Lambsilencer |

Yeah that did suck about Tru and Luc breaking up but I am thinking that maybe they had to break them up so she could get with Jason Priestley but that is just a guess I don't really know. I liked the whole episode and I thought Harrison was really cute. He was funny. When Tru was all we are leaving and I won't take no for an answer and Harrison is all hey you had me at serial killer. That was funny!
