OMG...I wicked excited. I have no idea what this event is...but if i get to meet Eliza, I'll definitely go!! I gotta make sure someone can come with me but, I'll force them if not! No way I'm missing out on meeting Eliza, even if it does cost me $20, it's worth it!! Yay! Glad shes comin' home!!! [img]smile.gif[/img]

Buffy fans may be interested to know that Robia LaMorte (Jenny) and Iyari Limon (Kennedy) will also be making an appearance at the con.

For those who don't know what to expect or deciding whether to go or not let me tell you my experience when she came to Philly last year. She is very nice, and beautiful. I was able to get a picture with her and as long as you are polite she will return that politeness tenfold. She had a Q&A session. Tyipcal dumb questions were asked but I asked an original question: "Will you get back at Ashton for punk'n you?" She answered that she probably cannot because she cannot plan anything elaborate joke well. And here are some pics I took the Wizard World:

Just some advices if you do attend the Wizard World Boston:

Be in line at least three hours before the convention doors open up.
After the doors open up, go straight in line and be prepared to wait for couple more hours.
Most likely, you will be limited to two items so make your choices carefuly.
At last year's Wizard World Philly, there was no charge for the autograph session. But Eilza was on a promo junket for Tru Calling. This might have change because she and other Buffy players are appearing at the CineQuest booth and not at the autograph area. If they are charging, expect to pay $20-$40 per item.
Ask if you can pose with her before taking that shot.
AND ALWAYS BE RESPECTFUL! Thank her for making time with her fans and she will appreciate it.

I hope this will convince you to take a shot to meet her and other Buffy players. I hope my advice will make this a very memorable experience, if not easier...

I just bought my tickets! I'm so excited to go to this and finally meet Eliza, it should be great fun!!! Also, thanks for the advice freakface! Although the 3 hours in line in advance might suck a bit, since Boston is about an hour or so away all ready, haha. Oh well, I probably won't sleep much the night before anyway, we'll see. If Anyone is going from the UK and your going alone, do you want to share accommodation, as im going on my own, im so excited, just pm me, and i will get back to you, as im on holiday at the moment, can you book the tickets on the day, or do you have to pre order them.

Is there anyone from Boston, who knows any hotels near the convention, i would be gratful if you would let me know, as ive never been to the USA before, pm me if you can, it would be very much appreciated.

Because their appearance is on a Saturday (the busiest day of the weekend), the line will be ridiculously long. This is a big deal.

And a few more advice:

Go to Wizard World on Friday as well as Saturday. You can scout where they will be signing, buy any collectibles you want them to sign, get more details about the signing from the staff, and get an idea what is your budget when buying stuff there.
If you are going just on Saturday, buy your advanced tickets and prepare what to bring a couple nights before.
Use a backpack or a rolling bag. Convention centers are huge and you will tire out from all that walking. If you are buying lots of stuff, take them to the coat check and they might hold them for you or take them to your car.
If you have photo for them to sign, protective sleeves are a must. A file folder or a leather portfolio is perfect to store the photos in your bag.

More adivce from someone who gone through it to newbies and less experienced.

Ive been quoted 400 pound for a flight to Boston, anyone know how much are the hotels in the area near to the convention.

Anyone willing to help a massive Eliza fan when i get there? If i fly out if will be the 29th sept, what to other fans thinks, should i go? :D

Im really undecided, i need other fans advice, please, because ive never flown before,and i would be going on my own.

Darn it, ELiza on the east coast and me with no money. I'd def. go if I could, it just a few states up but I can't. Anyone who goes please try to find out what she's been doing and if/when we can expect more of her great work. Let her know that hse is still loved and we all miss seeing her.

Being sensible eliza'snumber1fan, lol (cos I am really), I kind of think it's a tad excessive given that we have no reason to doubt that she will not come back to the UK at some point.

Can you really afford £400, plus hotel, plus other transport, food, and the cost if getting in, your autograph etc?

If you are loaded, then sure, why not? (Although not knowing how old you are it's already making me nervous that you seem to be travelling alone...)

Give it a lot of thought and don't get caught up in the moment, yeah? Even though you are "eliza'snumber1fan" lol, it might be worth waiting for her next UK visit rather than bankrupting yourself [img]smile.gif[/img] x
