I did know most of those things... (see bracketed comments) 1. Despite her Italian sounding name, Christina was born in Santa Monica California on 12 February 1980. (knew that!) 2. Her mum, Sarah, was a top model, while her dad was a psychiartist who specialised in 'shriek therapy'. (it's Primal Scream, and her mum modelled for Ford) 3. Christina's first kiss was in Kindergarten with a boy called Nicky who protected her from the school bully. (new to me! Wow! I'd do the same now!) 4. her first big role was in the 90s movie Mermaids with Cher and Winnona Ryder. She was also in the video for the theme song ''The Shoop Shoop Song'', dancing with her co-stars. (Yup knew that) 5. she looks up to actress Anjelica Huston (her mother in the Addams Family), who helped her get an agent. (I didn't know she did that for her). 6. Ricci's just over 5ft tall. she's been the same height since she was 10 years old. (yup) 7. Suffers from botanophobia (fear of plants)and is particuarly scared of houseplants. (No, it's the dirt they bring in). 8. Christina was thrilled to work with the Wachowski Brothers on Speed Racer. 9. Her siblings nicknamed her 'Squant' after her fascination with the Native American hero Squanto. (I heard that it was Angelica Huston who originally gave it to her, though Christina has later said that she wasn't given it). 10. Her fake nose in Penelope is modelled loosely on Misspiggy's from The Muppet Show. "I'd be about to walk out to Sock Shop and realise that I had my nose on and wasn't allowed to leave the set!" (Well it's easy as she wasn't allowed to scratch it until the end of shooting) Below is the pic they used: ![]() |
