From the looks of it, I hope that this is a lot better than the cast suggests. Quote:

| Newbie | You did not hear about it earlier because she was just recently signed only days before filming started to take the place of Lohan as the lead role opposite Owen Benjamin. In addition, the film also had a name change from Ye Old Times to the current name. Additionally, the version of the movie Andrew's quote supplied is rather off now. The script now follows Owen, who is his college's quarterback, to the Ren Faire after the professor (Cedric) requires him to work the event as make up for far too many absences. He is in his junior year, and thus must do this to participate in his senior year of college football, which is expected to lead him to the NFL and an early round draft pick. As a side note to the Lapeer girl, to my understanding the scene where she is carrying the back of her gown was already in the film. They just grabbed her to be the one doing it. ::shrugs:: The cast seems to be working very well with each other and most everyone on set is perfect for comedy roles. They all bring their own aggressive style of comedic acting so it should carry the film well. Well, I did they they all.. and Christina isn't exactly the most boisterous of people, at least not in real life. For the record, she has to be one of the quietest people i've seen that work in the film industry. Of course, my history of such is rather limited. ![]() In general, expect big things from her, this should be a good part that she fits well with. However, her and Owen do look COMICAL together as she is NOT 5'1 and he is every bit of 6'6. Of course, comical is what we are after right? |

| Newbie | That is correct, I do play in All's Faire in Love, but only in a very brief bit role. And yes, we have spoke, though she is not exactly talkative. The others have been far more social. Though the majority of them do have more comedic experience. People like Owen Benjamin and Cedric the Entertainer have actually done stand up which gives them an obvious advantage. |

| Newbie | :O) I am not getting emails just requesting me to visit this site again to reply to messages. It is cute for the record. Yes, I consider myself privileged to have had the opportunity. As far as continued filming, yes, All's Faire In Love is still being filmed on site. However, the Ren Faire is now closed for the winter and it is a closed set. To my understanding, no additional extras or actors are needed and the only additional extras that may be used would be contacted through those who have previously applied and interviewed. I'm just wondering because of your screenname-I reside in Boston lol). I do hope you don't mind me asking you: What part did/are you filming for "All Faires" (you have to excuse me with all these questions, but how often do you get to "chat" with an insider on a movie set?)? lol In any event, I hope you stick around this excellent Ricci forum and be part of an informative online community of Christina Ricci fans. Cheers. |

| Newbie | (My previous post was supposed to say "I am now getting" instead it said I am "not" getting.) Nope, I don't mind the questions. I have been on the other end before so I know it is appreciated when people do share such information. As far as the New England Patriots fan, not exactly. However, you did hit it on the head when making reference to football. The GC stands for Genesee County, a AAA Minor League Football team based in Michigan. The Patriots are part of the production, they play the college football team in which Owen Benjamin is the Quarterback of. In the movie I play the coach of the college football team. This is a HUGE acting stretch for me, since I am also a football coach. ![]() The Patriots are my "day job" if you will. I am the Director of Operations for the team, have coached them a number of seasons, and was a 4 time All Star and a 2005 All American as a Patriot. The acting thing is more of a side hobby that I enjoy. As an interesting side note, the college team actually wears the authentic Patriot uniforms and you will see the Patriot logo in the movie as well. Also participating in the film is members of our Cheerleading team, who play cheerleaders in the movie. |

Congrats on your winning those games. So did you mingle at all with the actors off the set at all? If I was close to Christina, I would probably be tongue tied!! lol |

| Newbie | A few times but not all that much.. Went bowling with everyone oddly enough, for the record I am not much of a bowler. I better stick to football. As far as being tongue tied, those who are familiar with me know that is rarely the case. Usually it is people hoping my tongue will be tied. So that would have actually fell on Christina, she is very reserved and quiet. However, Dave Sheridan is very sociable and a good guy, as far as Steelers fans go that is. We talked for awhile and I felt HORRIBLE that I couldn't place him in half the movies in his storied resume. Mathew Lillard was an easy going go and flattered well by one of our Lady Patriots. He almost blushed when she mentioned she had a photo of him on her myspace. Chris Wylde was a trip, I talked to him only briefly but he is a very funny guy. I actually didn't talk to Owen much that night even though I spent the most time on set with him. Beyond acting, I had to coach several of the actors from a football perspective. I think Owen still believes there are no Bars open past 10 in Genesee County lol. (He was once quoted for saying that). Speaking of bars, I did get to make a bar trip with a couple of them but those details are for a different publication. For the record, I would have to say the biggest character on set isn't an actor. That credit would go to Mr. Michael Mendelsohn, the Executive Director. I spent the most time with him bowling and when he swung out to my office. Very funny and entertaining guy that is always thinking. Out of all the people I did meet, I wish I had the opportunity to meet Ann Margret. Even if not for myself but for my father (who is also in the movie) who is a HUGE fan of hers. OH YEAH, and thanks for the WOW. I won a world bronze medal, was undefeated in mixed martial arts competition, headlined a MMA Cage Fighting Championship, was a 4 time all star and a 2005 All American in football, and am even a published author yet I RARELY get those. Heck, its rare just for people even know who I am! (I guess I should get a better agent, oh wait, I don't have one lol). Nice to feel appreciated so thank you again! hehe. The media did seem to cover me pretty well for a week. I did a dozen or so interviews on TV and on the Radio for that movie. I guess I should have switched from sports to acting. ![]() |
