LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Turns out Christina Ricci, who has become a darling of independent film fans, isn't so 'indie' after all.

The actress, who gained fame as a child actor in "Mermaids" and "The Addams Family," says people have her all wrong if they think she intentionally shied away from blockbuster Hollywood flicks in her adult years. Her newest film, Friday's big-budget "Speed Racer," is Ricci's proof...

Well I wouldn't mind her doing more blockbusters, as long as it gives her the chance to do films she wants to. Hence that being one reason she did this. As she's earn her apprenticeship so to speak in doing those Indie flicks. Not that I don't want her to stop doing those, as that's where some great roles are.

Well she is still in the spotlight and is doing well for herself so I'm sure she doesn't mind what type of movies she acts in. Blockbuster or not.

I did to when I saw the title. Renting out Casper or something! lol, just to see if the guy behind the counter recognised her. I think edawgs right, all she wants to do is make films, and good ones at that hopefully.
