Kinda, but I knew that was coming from what happened earlier in the film. I guess the bit where she attacks her mother's just as surprising as her singing (she never sung herself in a film before, I think someone else did it in The Man Who Cried).

Speaking of this Movie, it's going to be on Showtime on Saturday here in the states! I

have never seen the film so I'm excited to finally get to watch it!

You were right to think that! Yeah it's one of her best performances she's give imo. She's not done anything like this before, and should have gotten more recognition for it from her peers. The only thing that would have topped off such an amazingly strong performance, in which she suffers for her art, is if she beat up JT!
