Thornton Says He Didn't Cheat on Jolie

NEW YORK - Billy Bob Thornton swears he didn't cheat on Angelina Jolie, causing the end of their marriage like some have speculated. He tells GQ that "that was the rumor but that was never it."

The couple was known for their outrageous expressions of affection. Jolie had Thornton's name tatooed on her body and both admitted to carrying samples of one another's blood.

Thorton says what really contributed to the marital breakup was that he and Jolie just had different ideas about how they wanted to live their lives. He says Jolie likes to go all over the world while he just wanted to stay home. Jolie often travels on missions for the United Nations as well as for movie roles. She also has a son, Maddox, who she adopted from Cambodia.

In a July 2003 interview with Barbara Walters for "20/20," Jolie said she didn't feel like she knew Thornton anymore and thought that she would never get married again.

She's so much better off, and why it ended isn't really important.. The fact that they're not together anymore is enough! ;)

She has said that he didn't cheat. They sort of grew apart. She said something like she isn't fully "grown" as a person yet, and when they spent so much time apart they were both in different stages of their lives.. or something like that [img]graemlins/boggled.gif[/img] [img]tongue.gif[/img]
