| 05-10-2003 Superstar treatment Mineral salts spa bath In the world of spas, this is probably the most traditional treatment on the list. Harking back to the time when people used to visit spas to "take the waters", all true city-based day spas should have a water treatment like this on offer. Infused with mineral salts, a spell in the bath is an essential way to begin or end a trip to a spa. Good for: Not only does the combination of warm water, spa jets and mineral salts (yes, it doesn't get much better than this) ease tired and aching joints and muscles, it also detoxifies the body. Cost: A half-hour soak will cost about $40. At Zen Day Spa (116-118 Darlinghurst Road, Darlinghurst, phone 9361 4200). Celebrity fans: During her time as Lara Croft, Angelina Jolie developed a love for more than just knocking out a few bad guys - salt baths were high on her list after the cameras had stopped. Word is Jolie is also a fan of the odd bath bomb. |
