THE CW TO WRAP 'PALMS' EARLY, DROPS SUNDAY ENCORES

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- The CW is wrapping "Hidden Palms" early as the summer series will now air its swan song on Wednesday, July 4 - two weeks prior than originally planned.

To accommodate the decision, back-to-back first-run episodes of the series will air on June 20 and June 27.

In addition, the netlet has opted to drop the show's Sunday, 8:00/7:00c encores effective immediately. Repeats of "7th Heaven" will slide into said slot while back-to-back repeats of "Reba" will now fill the Sunday, 7:00/6:00c hour.

9:00/8:00c - "One Tree Hill" (Season Finale)

Wednesday, June 20 and June 27

I dont mind having 2 hours of it one. But does this mean it isnt doing great?

The ratings the show ha sbeen getting are crappy. Aroound 1.5 million wich is less then Veronica Mars was getting. So if the ratings don't go up than we wont get a new season
