Easy A Script!!!

I just finished read the script. It was pretty funny and clever albeit alot of profanity. Since the script last update is August 2008, we can expect lots of changes. When actors are finally cast, there are always things in the script that is changed to accommodate them.

We heard about the addition of several musical numbers, hopefully this is true, and that Amanda gets to participate in one of them. Amanda's character is not downright ornery as I suspected. But that's good, I liked that her character is mean but like-able as well. I'm glad that she doesn't stay mean like most mean girls do at the end.

If the movie actually keeps the vulgar language, which I think is unnecessary, this movie will be rated R. Amanda's first R movie, I will miss Amanda slapstick comedy. Maybe they will incorporate some of her classic physical comedy for the final re-write.

This script is promising.

I'm excited about Amanda being in an R-rated movie! I think that it will be further evidence of the mature, grown-up Amanda. Thanks for the link Pranks!

If anyone ever saw the Steve Martin movie PLAINS,TRAINS, AND AUTOMOBILES there is a scene in the movie where he confronts the car rental person (Grace from Ferris Bueller) and lets loose a load of F-Bombs. One of the funniest scenes in a movie I have ever seen and to me, one of the most shocking. I would love to see our dear sweet Amanda deliver a similar scene in EASY A.

I really do hope the final draft isn't too different. I loved the script and could see Emma Stone deliver every one of the lines and Marianne flipping out on the phone would be ten shades of hilarious with Bynesy.

I'm reading it right now. I can't wait to see what Amanda does with her character! It does seem a little heavy on the language, which is kind of unnesscary...I am betting they will clean it up just a tad to get a teen friendly PG-13 out of it.

Candace, that scene between Steve and Edie McClurg is a classic. I love everything John Hughes. And I really, really miss John Candy. I just added Del Griffith as my friend on Myspace!
