| Junior Member ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hey guys. I have reanalised Amandas Cosmopolitan interview and I found some lines which are weird, for me alt least. The interview I am talkingabout, and most of you know, is http://www.cosmopolitan.com/celebrit...over-interview And here are the lines "Amanda isn’t itching to walk down the aisle. “I say I never wanna get married,” she says. “I feel trapped with the idea of marriage. How can you really be with somebody forever? I’d get bored!” she says with a laugh, then later adds, “As I get older, I don’t settle. I’d rather tell somebody ‘This is what I want—take it or leave it.’” " "Beyond that, the girl who’s always made audiences laugh is looking to get serious. “Something dramatic would be a good next step,” says Amanda, who admires Renée Zellweger’s varied career. “I’d love to do something that would shock people, something that’s against type. I feel like I’m starting fresh,” she says, a smile spreading across her lips. “I feel like people don’t know yet what I can really do.” " These statments made me think a little bit especially the first one. Why wouldnt she?! Is marriage inb her eyes such a bad thing?! Is that statement for real?!!! What do you guys think? |

This has been discussed and I have no idea why her views on marriage seems to upset or shock so many. She may be set in her ways or she may change her mind someday if she meets the right person. As for her ambition to do drama,I say go for it. She tried it with LIVING PROOF and even though the part was small, she showed she could do drama. The line about shocking people intrigues me because it could mean anything. From playing a heroin addict or a prostitute to maybe doing a nude scene, could be anything. I know I personally would love to see Amanda play a villain. I think she would have been great in the Anne Hathaway role in DEVIL WEARS PRADA but after watching it again recently I think she would be great playing the Emily Blunt part as well.Amanda playing a total b*tch would be classic! As a matter of fact, I always said Amanda should have played the Witch in Sydney White. Amanda could have hammed it up and really done wonders with a role like that. Even though she would not have been the main character, she would have no doubt stole that movie if she played the bad girl. Last edited by cdc792000; 05-17-2009 at 03:21 PM.. |

I have said this many times before but, since you mentioned Anne Hathaway, I would like to see Amanda do what Anne did and take on edgy, dark and difficult parts like the one in Havoc. Anne showed she could really act in that film and it broke her through to bigger parts in films like Brokeback and Prada. I know in my heart that Amanda can take on any type of role and make it her own. She just needs the chance to prove that! |

Anne, like Amanda can also do comedy. Get Smart and Bride Wars are two examples. |

And Amanda and Anne's career once followed similar paths in the fact that they were both involved with companies geared towards kids (Nickelodeon and Disney) and they are both very funny. It would thrill me to see Amanda in big name projects like Bride Wars! Couldn't you just imagine our girl in Kate Hudson's role? I've said this many times, but all it takes is that one great project to make someone a superstar. Look what Pretty Woman did for Julia Roberts and think of all of the semi-crappy movies she was involved in in it's wake. I just hope that William Morris can provide her with better roles than a lame project like Canned could ever offer her. Oh, how I wish I could have seen just one episode to see how Amanda did as a mother! |
