"Amanda Bynes, 22 is single once again and loving it.

The star of Hairspray broke up with her boyfriend, Josh Feldman two months ago after dating him for a year and half.

She told In Touch magazine that being single has been good for her. Her break from Feldman has changed her. Bynes said, "I'm being more social now; I'm just sort of enjoying my youth. I want to meet someone I can have fun with."

Amanda Bynes recently attended Madonna's concert that had a surprise appearance from Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake, so she's having fun despite not having a man."

I thought they broke up longer than 2 months ago. I sort of hope she does not go for another celebrity. I liked the fact that Amanda went for a regular Joe rather than some actor or celebrity. Still, I think she should enjoy the time away. Before I met my boyfriend I was single for almost a year. It really does clear your head to just enjoy being single for a while.

I guess I am unable to relate with either Amanda or you. I have never gone out with anyone yet. My parents are strict, especially my mother. I am not allowed to go out with anyone until after college, a little bit silly huh? Some other things that I'm not allowed to do includes attending sleep-overs, even at church (My mother is somewhat paranoid, she believes that gunmen will show up at church; She read newspapers about events such as that had happened in churches in the south).

I guess I'm not seeing someone has somewhat to do with me as well because I could secretly go out with someone w/o my parents finding out because they always come home very late and I'm usually home alone. But I haven't find anyone I am really interested in. But still, I consider myself very lucky to live such a good home with parents who care and not having to worry about finances while I see many people around me struggling to make a living in this horrific muck of an economy.

I've only been out of college for 2 years now and my BF and I have been together for almost 3 years. Amanda will do fine and will have trouble getting a guy. Every guy in LA would want to go out with her so I hope she can smell the jerks and the users (ATTENTION:Anne Hathaway!) I think Amanda should date but look for an older guy for a BF. oh, and Pranks, take your time. I always say, the right guy for you is going nowhere. Hopefully, Amanda can focus on some scripts instead of guys. I guess this all explains the books she was checking out the other day at Borders about relationships.

I think we kind of knew that, but its the first article thats really mentioned it. I do think it was probably longer then 2 months ago. She is deffinitly out and about more now.

I know it seems like she isnt concentrating on scripts, but aAll these public events she has been doing might be to get face time and stay in the sportlight. It doesnt really hurts for a celebrity to be in the blogs or in magazines.

Ya, theres no doubt has a lot of choices. Amanda probably has to be a lot more cautious then most.

I'm happy that Amanda is enjoying the single life. I thought she and Josh made a nice couple, but she can (and will) do better. Too bad for Josh though... I bet it's depressing to lose a girl like Amanda.

I was going to say I hope she is spending some time thinking about what she is going to do next (career-wise). But I guess you are right open32, at least she is keeping her name alive by showing up at all those parties and events. And as pranks mentioned in another thread, maybe she will run into somebody at one of those places and get offered a role in a movie. But as of right now, I don't feel like making another movie is even on her mind.

She has every right to take her time, with boyfriends and scripts. Hollywood needs to give Amanda a chance to shine by offering her more mature, adult parts that she can sink her teeth into. I think she has proven that she is just as adept at dramas as she obviously is at comedy. I would love to see her offered a part like the first female ghostbuster in Ghosbusters 3, if it gets off the ground. Can you just imagine her acting with Dan and Bill? That would be comedy heaven!

Okay. I gotta ask cause i undoubtedly am interested in this topic, someone mentioned her last bf, Josh, was just an average joe? She didnt date a fellow star? Wow, I gotta say, that really makes me happy to hear-kudos to her, she hasn't fallen victim to the typical hollywood social disasters.

I really wish that I could meet her, or converse with her. I won't go so much to say "oh i love her so much" (because well, let's be honest, how can you love someone you've never even met?) but hearing something like that makes me think in some dreamland in my head that she'd actually talk to me like a normal human being!

Josh had a minor role in Hairspray. He was one of the dancers in the background and also had some very short scenes which come and go un-noticed. But other than that, yes, he is just an "average Joe". I believe they met on the set of Hairspray.

You'd be surprised. Every single story we read about a fan meeting Amanda always goes the same way. "She's so nice", "I can't believe she is an actress", "She happily took pictures with us", etc...

So if you are lucky enough to meet her some day, you're most likely going to have a very pleasant experience.

Ah, gotcha. so, more, semi-average. :P but all the same, I think that's great. Just goes to show you she doesn't feel totally larger than life like a lot of celebrities tend to act.

I would really love to meet her, that would be fantastic. A question sorta based on that, has anyone here wrote to her and got a reply? if so, how was the reply? I've considered writing a well-thought out letter hopefully convincing enough to ask her to be pen pals via email...

Well, M_F_Burk (a member at this forum) was lucky enough to meet Amanda. See his story here.

I don't know if you would get a reply from her through a letter, or if the letter would even get to her. She probably gets a lot of fanmail. Your best bet is to meet her in person at an even you know ahead of time she would be attending. M_F_Burk met her during the time she was promoting her new clothing line at different malls across the country.

Of course, if you are in L.A. you might bump into her on the street. But you'd have to have some really good luck on your side.

Yeah, im worried about sending a letter, I dont want it to just go to some agency and tossed. I really want her to read it, cause i know then it at least has a slim chance of going somewhere.

An event she's at? dang...that'd be tough to do. Though, i have considered going to university in california (totally unrelated to a.b.) but it would be a nice coincidence and opportunity!

It sucks that she's a movie star, definitely makes her harder to approach or show interest in hanging out in than a non-star, even though she's still a girl all the same.
