I watched the movie a few hours ago when it was on.

I thought it was a well-made movie. Nice true story too. It's amazing how one guy who just refused to give up, ended up saving so many lives.

I must admit, I had to wipe away a tear or two at one point

Amanda did a really good job with her role. I'm glad she was in this movie otherwise I probably would have never known about it. Perhaps this will open up a new path in Amanda's acting career.

I watched it on tape.

It was a pretty good movie, also very emotional. Amanda did good, she looked much older in this role then any other she has ever played. Even though this was a drama Amanda's goodfy-ness still showed through.

My one critique is that Amanda didnt really have any drama in her part of the script, it didnt allow her to do much. I wanted to see more drama in her part so like sparky said it would open up a new parts in Amanda's acting career.

I actually really liked the movie and enjoyed seeing Amanda in it. Like sparky said, I wouldn't have known about it had it not been for Amanda. Her goofy charm shined in the first scenes and it was just cool to see her in a different kind of role. She was his support, and I did feel like she had a good emotional scene when she said, "You just sent her home...to die." I would like to see what she does next.

I just watched the movie with my mother. It was a powerful film. Slow start, but as the film keeps rolling...it started to get intense. I love the scene when the women tried to looks their best on the first day. I love the lady with the seahorse tea powder. Her begging scene was very emotional but passionate. Amanda's scene that followed was phenomenal, the "it's not fair...I can't do this anymore." It was heart-wrenching. I wish Amanda got more lines and a story arc, but it is understandable since the cast is huge. I wish they would add a scene where Amanda gives a motivational speech to the patients. I love the ending! And I'm glad after all that Amanda took part of this film. Now I wish Amanda would go out and start making more good films.

I agree, that was the amotional scene she had, but while watching it I got the feeling that scene was kut a little. There needed to be a longer emotional or dramatic part where Amanda could have been givin a chance to really steal a scene.

Someone should come calling on Amanda soon. We have heard interviews (a while back, and recently) where she said she has stuff in the works. I guess some of those did fall through, I have no doubt she is being offered roles.

Of course she is being offered roles! I feel like, in this stage of her career, she is being a little bit more choosy in her roles. Who can blame her? There is a great drama in her future, I just know it! Living Proof was pretty typical for a tv movie but it was a real treat seeing Amanda in the same film with a legend like Bernadette Peters. And, no matter what role she plays, Amanda brings charm, believability and energy to it as she did here.

just watched the movie..

well, it turns out amanda's role was pretty small. i thought her part would be bigger, but she just had several lines in the beginning and a little one in the end, so by the end of the movie we couldn't even surely say she was on it..
but anyway the movie was really good, touching and emotional story as well..
i hope amanda's career on a big screen will speed up after all..

Yeah, Amanda said that the real girl her character was based on ended up going to medical school, so I think they should have added a scene in which she told the doctor how he changed and inspired her. Overall though, I think this was a great choice for her.

i watched the movie today, its a good movie with strong emotional base .. but as geo, i thought it would be a bigger role, this was really just a few minutes and the begining, then the emotianel scene and thats all :(
i want more ! :D i wish Amanda will get some bigger role soon
