It was typecasting, Bynes says. "I'm definitely not a science major."

At home, her dad (a dentist) and brother (a chiropractor) know the big words; Bynes, who had her own comedy show at 13, knows humor. Now, Connick explains things to her.

"It was based on his research assistant," she says. "In the end, she went to medical school."

Bynes emerged with a deep respect for Connick ("he's a tremendously nice person") and of the man he portrays."

Cant wait for the movie, for some reason all week long I had it in my head that the movie was this weekend, I looked at the date yesterday and was like no way is it going to get to the 18th by Saterday.

I can't wait for the movie too. I'm surprise that none of the cast members, especially Amanda is schedule to appear on any talk show at the moment to promote this film. I guess it is because it is only a tv movie. This has been a slow Amanda week...I was not happy about Tim Burton's choice of casting for his next flick, Alice in Wonderland. Amanda should have been offered the role of Alice or the role of the White Queen that Anne Hathaway obtained.

Harry Connick Jr is doing all the TV rounds, Conan (Tuesday), Mike and Julie (Wednesday), Ellen (Thursday) and maybe the Earliy Show or Today. Regina King has one also. None I can find for Amanda thought.

I think if the promotion team was wise, they would have put Amanda front and center to garner up young demographics. Out of the entire cast, Amanda is the most marketable and the most famous actor from the group although she has a supporting role.

I didn't even know who Harry Connick and the other top bill actresses were before this film. I did know Regina King and Jennifer Coolidge tough. I have been looking through the wide web, the comments of users regarding this movie and such...most of the comments were related to Amanda Bynes.

Harry Connick is the biggest name, especialy to Lifetimes Demo. I dont know why there not using Amanda to promote.

It's possible that Amanda's role in the movie is very minimal. That may be one of the reasons why they aren't using her to advertise it. I wish they did though, just so we can get some nice interviews from her.
