I can't believe it! Nicole Blonsky arrested! Could Hairspray 2 be delay?

Nicole Blonsky out of all people. It shows what happen when fame takes over, and this is only after one year. This news makes me admire Amanda more and more.
Nicole may cause Hairspray 2 to be delayed if she gets the maximum punishment which is 2 years in jail. Lots of things is taking a punch at Amanda's career and it isn't even her fault.

What a stupid thing to fight over...some airplane seats. Geez, there are other things worth fighting for.

The 19-year-old Hairspray star and her father were arrested on assault charges after a dustup with the family of former America's Next Top Model contestant Bianca Golden at the Providenciales International Airport in Turks and Caicos.

"They were involved in an altercation at the airport in the departure lounge," Sgt. Chase of the Turks and Caicos Islands Police Department tells E! News. The skirmish apparently involved a dispute over saved seats.

Blonsky's rep, Teal Cannaday, declined comment on the incident.

Nikki Blonsky was charged with assault and actual bodily harm as well as common assault; her father, Carl, was rung up on a count of inflicting grievous bodily harm.

The elder Golden was not charged, but the rest of the battling broods were taken in to custody.

Nikki Blonsky appeared in court this morning sporting a neck brace ("she received some kind of injury," says Chase); a judge allowed her to be released on $6,000 cash bail and ordered to return to court Dec. 1. Her father is being held until Aug. 8.

Golden was also freed on bail.

According to Chase, Golden and Nikki Blonsky's charges carry a maximum penalty of two years, while Carl Blonsky could face up to five years in prison."

Since they haven't even finished writing it yet, I doubt there would be any delay but the fact that Nikki and that girl were fighting over seats at an airport makes me LOL!

But they want the movie to come out in July 2010. Writing a script doesn't take a long time and should be completed way before filming take place in fall of 2009. If Blonsky receive the two year jail term, then filming for the movie will have to be delay until fall 2010 or 2011. I can imagine all the reporters questioning Blonsky at interviews after Hairspray 2 is completed about her imprisionment rather than the movie itself. What bad press.

Careful careful. Bianca is a very argumentive person and I agree that it's a dumb reason to fight, but we don't know the whole story. Nikki might not even have started anything.

I think the only reason Amanda's career isn't going anywhere right now is because she is choosing for it not to. I have no doubt that she has offers, she just isn't taking them for whatever reason.

So, does anyone think or know if Nicki is close enough to Amanda that she would call her and get support from her or do you think maybe they are not that close? I think out of everyone in Hairspray Amanda is closest to Britney Snow.Just curious.

I've seen fights over things like this in my own town its a shame that people have to take things this far but thats the way some people are they like to fight.

Wow, Nikki's father was denied bail today and is being held over for trial.

Most likely different rules there, in the US your only denied bail for very serious charged or flight risk.
