Amanda Bynes was suppose to star in The Post Grad Survival Guide

I don't know if anyone has posted this but around October last year (writer's strike time) Amanda was attached to star in The Post Grad Survival Guide (2009) which is know starring Alexis Bledel from Gilmore Girls. At the time it was called a Ticket to Ride.
I have the script and when i found out that Bynes was going to play the lead I thought it would be an awesome career move. A more mature role, that has elements of comedy/drama/sex in it.
One of the reasons she dropped out (this is just speculation) but a scene in the script requires her to have sex with an older neighbour. Maybe she wasn't ready?
Anyway, once the film comes out try and imagine her in the role and think what could have been."

Any thoughts? It sounds like just Amanda to not do a role cause it is too "mature" for her at the moment. Amanda will do something similar when she is good and ready. Come on Amanda...announce a project already!

I always have a hard time fully believing stuff from posters on IMDB because there is so much of it; more false then not.

I have no problem with a sex scene as long as it is done cleanly, not 100% sure what the movies about yet. If its true there could be countless reasons why she pulled out, the delay from the writers strike could have cause a time conflict with something else.

Sounds interesting. I guess we will just have to wonder if this is true. Either way, if she dropped this one, what did she pick up? That's what we really need to find out

Well it's never good to back out of a role. It doesn't look good on you if your actress and Amanda has to grow up and realize that if she want's to be successful she has to do scenes like that and particpate in more mature roles. Hilary Duff had no problem doing that why is Amanda. Hil did War Inc and it's an R rated movie and is a more adult movie.

^ Yeah, and I thought Amanda could have also played Hilary's part in War Inc, although I haven't seen it yet just judging on the trailer.

I also wonder how these people on IMDB find this information and scripts and stuff.

Anyway, I hope Amanda finds something cool to do soon.

Well, my friend is a film student and went on set one day, they gave her a script then. Maybe that's how that person got it?
