A movie rumor from IMDB

I was contemplating on either to post it or not. Someone posted this without providing any links/evidence. I don't think this rumor is true because I can't find the studio's website or name mentioned anywhere online. Also I couldn't find any info of the movie in Variety.

""Amanda Bynes is being targeted for a starring role in Unknown Self for Silverette Wonder Partners according to Variety. No director is currently attached to this project. The script is by Daniel Farrel.

A dramedy about a shy girl named Juliet Parsley, who lives with her eccentric Aunt Harriet for 5 years after her parents died due to a terrible disease that have been plaguing the entire continent. Throughout the 5 years, Aunt Harriet opens up Juliet’s eyes on how she sees the world. One day, Juliet’s aunt accidently found a cure for the disease. Aunt Harriet mysteriously disappeared the following day, including the antidote. It is up to Juliet to find her aunt and to get the cure in the hands of the people. When Juliet discovers why her Aunt Harriet disappeared, it is up to her to fight the “unknown” antagonists with the help of the fellow townsfolk and the help of her recently discovered “talents.” The studio at this point declines to spoil the antagonists of the picture.

Amanda Bynes is reported to take upon the role of shy Juliet Parsley. Nicole Kidman and Meryl Streep are currently being considered for the role of Aunt Harriet. Chris Pine, star of the anticipated Star Trek, is in talks to play Bynes’ character love interest as the geeky Brandon Johnson. Julie Andrews is reported to have a cameo in this picture. "We are very excited to be working on this project, and we are looking forward to working with the talented Amanda Bynes," stated Mark Veel, Vice Chairman of the Board for Silverette Wonder Partners and a producer on the film.

A spring 2009 release date is set. Principal photography will take place this summer in Nice, France and Vancouver, Canada."

How many of you thought that Amanda's next movie project would have been announced way before her 22nd birthday? Me! Oh well, I just hope she works on something this summer.

The synopsis doesn't really do it for me, so if it is right, I hope the trailers are good...

The synopsis is kind of confusing...would it be a period piece? It would be great if Amanda got to work with those actors though, they are all pretty well respected. If it comes to be it would be a somewhat different role for Amanda to do.

AM I the only one who wants to see Amanda come back to television? I can see her on 30 ROCK or some new show to start in the fall on the CW or something.

I think it would be good for her to do TV, but in what role? It would have to be something interesting and a little different than what she's done before.

It seems a little more detailed than your typical rumor. I hope it's for real. If so, don't look for Nicole Kidman in it. NK is giving birth this year, and probably won't make movies for a couple of years.

Maybe I am just too demanding but I can see Amanda on a weekly sitcom and maybe doing one feature film in theatres a year. Jennifer Aniston did it while on FRIENDS. Katherine Heigl did while on GREY'S ANATOMY. I think Amanda could do it. Either have her join the cast of a already popular tv show or tailor make a show just for her. I thought it would be great to her in a tv series on the CW called "HOLLY" and have it be her character from WILAY. We could have guest stars like Jennie Garth and the old cast stopping by and it would be her as a young adult. Or, we could something totally different. I can see Amanda poking fun at her image doing a series where she plays a Paris Hilton type brat but likable or a show where she plays a starlet in Hollywood trying to get by and show the common everyday problems stars today face. The ideas and choices are endless. Hell, how about a show where she plays an up and coming fashion designer or what about a reality show of her and her designers behind the scene of DEAR? It could be a comedy/reality show PLUS a commercial for her clothing line. On top of all that we can see Amanda either star or co star in a movie over the summer or Christmas time. (Man, Amanda should fire her agent and just hire me, LOL)

As for Amanda needing to get out there, she is doing just fine. 2 magazine covers so far this year and its only April. Not bad for not even having a movie to push. Her clothing line and her public appearances get her plenty exposure.

A lot of TV actors do movies on the side. So if she does sign up for a TV show I don't think that would stop her from making movies. I think she did What A Girl Wants, Robots, Lovewrecked and She's The Man all while she was still doing WILAY. So yeah, she could definitely do it. And it would be GREAT for all her fans!

Out of all your ideas I would prefer seeing her in a new show rather than joining an existing show. If she does do a new TV show I'm betting it would be some type of comedy. Although I'd like to see her in more dramatic type of series as I usually like those the best. But I don't think that's her style. Besides, just by her not announcing anything for so long it's already giving us some drama and suspense in way...

Im cool with her doing ether a movie or a TV show. If it was a TV show, I would prefer it not to be a sitcom, rather an hour comedy or drama.

They probably do, if they dont get an answer, there is nothing worth reporting. All the interviews are cut and paste stuff.

Sometimes its actually the detail that make sit unbelievable (its not in Variety, seems to be no such production company), like the thing you said about NK, I didnt even know that.

There is actually still somewhat of a delay in the TV world from that writers strike, I don’t know if the same carries over from move production still being delayed.

I am quite new to this forum but you guys seem very enthusiastic about amanda bynes, and soo am I. But regarding this topic i found some interesting facts on why she might be taking the movie making business slow. In this interview towards the end, see explains she wants to be careful in picking a proper film to further advance her image as a mature actress. If ur interested check it out.

Thanks for the vid but it was mostly to do with her clothing line but it's good that she doesn't just jump into any movie role. In her situation now she shouldn't be to picky with movie roles, she just has to get her face out there again.
