Default Amanda Bynes:Falling Star article

http://www.fadedyouthblog.com/27198/...lling-starlet/

"Poor Amanda Bynes.

When she signed up for the coveted role of Penny Pingleton in Hairspray, the 21-year-old starlet thought it would be the platform that would launch her big screen career. The reality? Not so much.

A Hollywood “insider” tells FYB that Amanda is literally “unhireable.” Why, you ask? Simply put, the leggy 5′10″ actress is no longer young enough for the teen market and she’s not yet quite old enough for an adult role. Calling Lindsay Lohan!

So, what has Miss Bynes’ career been reduced to? Attending lame party after lame party in hopes of rubbing the right set of elbows. But based on the soiréees she’s recently attended, we’re doubting that’s likely to happen. This weekend, Amanda attended the Run, Fatboy, Run premiere, The Hills Season 3 premiere party, and worse yet, Perez Hillton’s lackluster 30th birthday bash.

Next stop? The Surreal Life if we have anything to say about it!"

I seriously doubt this is true, I hope this is untrue. It's just speculation cause Amanda haven't been up to anything lately.

Well this is just a stupid blog randomly speculating, there isnt really any credibility to what they say about insiders knowing things. Some truth to it might be that she wants a more adult role and theres a lack of adult movies being offered to her, she isnt really old enough to play anyone out of college which really limits roles. It doesnt mean that there arnt any roles for a 22 year old, there still college or high school comedies, horror; also a time peice or fantasy (not to many or those get made).

(And I dont think she was at The Hills Season 3 premiere party, wireimage has a large gallery from that.)

The moron who wrote this article is judging her by the premieres that she attended recently. It doesn't sound like they did any research.

It is idiotic to call Bynes "unhireable." This will be disproved immediately and easily when she signs up for another film.

Good grief, Pranks. Why would you take this dumb article seriously for even one second?

I knew that the article is not logical. But they could possibly be correct in how difficult it might be to find good roles at certain stages in your life due to age, possibly.

Look at Mandy Moore (two years older than Bynes). Moore also did a bunch of "teen" films. Did Moore become "unhireable" also when she was 21? Obviously not. So why would anyone think Amanda's career is in trouble today? It's just stupid, that's all.

Look let them say what they want...

Amanda's name is bigger than it's ever been these days... I'm sure she isn't going to have a problem finding work. I think she is just taking her time trying to find a role that she feels would be good for her career instead of just rushing into something.

I didnt agree with the article but thats kinda what I though. And the fact that Amanda is kind of picky with roles, she doest take everything that comes her way like some young stars do. She is to old for a lot and to young for a lot. And she is well known as a comedy actress, if she is looking for something other then a college comedy, say a drama, it may be harder to find. None of that in anyway means she is unhireable.

I think it was a big victory for Amanda to win her role in Hairspray and I think that good things are going to come her way again, it just takes the right role again which I think is what she's trying to prove. She's no where near unhirable, I think she's just carefully considering what to do next since Sydney White didn't do as well as everyone hoped.

Well look where Mandy Moore is, she is doing nothing and she is going no where so lets hope Amanda doesn't end up that way. She just has to keeping trying and hope that she finds work soon. I'm big Amanda fan but I do agree with some of the things that article said.

Mandy's going nowhere? She's completed seven movies since the beginning of 2005. Just look at her credits:

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0601553/

Who else wants to attack Mandy Moore or other actresses? Is this how you prove that you're loyal to Amanda Bynes?

Isn't Mandy Moore one of the highest paid celebrities under 25? I think I saw it on the E! cash queens of music special.

Well it looks like Mandy has done a lot of cameo's on T.V shows and has been in lots of movies that where flops and what is she doing now ? nothing. I don't want Amanda to end up like the other washed up teen stars.

Mandy Moore is "washed up"? Let's see...

License to Wed and Because I Said So, Mandy Moore's last two wide releases in 2007, each grossed more than $42 million in the U.S. That's better than What A Girl Wants, She's The Man or Sydney White.

BTW, it was smart for Mandy Moore to guest-star on a very popular comedy like Scrubs. I've always said that Bynes should do the same.

License to Wed may have garnered $42 million dollars but have you considered what the budget was? Over 35 million dollars. It was considered a bomb by industry experts and the studio. Robin Williams was the big name that the studio relied on. Mandy Moore recent films relied on big stars, I seriously doubt she can draw an audience w/ her name alone. When she did tried to, all of movies w/ the exception of A Walk to Remember (I liked that movie) bombed terribly.

I couldn't find anything that said the budget for License to Wed was that much. That seems a lot for that simple of a romantic comedy.

Anyway, I just realized that the article said "calling Lindsay Lohan" as if she's employable and reliable right now.

http://www.the-numbers.com/people/MMOOR.php

Let's look at the numbers for those two Mandy Moore films again:

2/2/2007_____Because I Said So_____$68,879,570 worldwide
7/3/2007_____License to Wed_______$70,792,641 worldwide

If Amanda's next two comedies did as well, everyone here would be thrilled for her.
This Mandy Moore bashing is seriously uncool.

I'm not here to bash Mandy Moore. I really enjoyed her in A Walk to Remember and intrigued with her role in Saved. It's just that she is not a substantial example in which an actress around this age in getting many good, successful roles. World-Wide box office, there is alot of factors that one needs to consider. The recent movie, The Golden Compass made over 300 million world-wide I believed. But New Line got very little in return from foreign markets because they sold most of the movie rights to foreign distributors. But that case may be different for Moore's recent movies. Her 2 recent movies may be considered a moderate success to the studio that it orignated. "Because I said So" I believed was considered a moderate success. Licensed to Wed, I'm rather shaky about this one. I know that the studio was dismal at the domestic numbers from the box office. I just hope Amanda and Mandy find good roles in their upcoming future, hopefully soon.
