That's more than it opened with in theaters and pretty good considering there was no promotion for the DVD. The sales numbers aren't out yet but the movie will probably become profitable on DVD.

Sounds pretty good. I wonder if the sales numbers are more, I think that would put it close to the top.

WOW that's funny it made more money on the DVD's release compared to when it opened at theatres. I guess it has something to do with people not wanting to go to the movies or her older fans are buying the Dvd because they were to embrassed to see it at the movies.

I saw a lot of promotion for the DVD. TV commercials, internet ads, weekly magazine ads, at the movie theater and photobucket had a sydney white photobucket.

Releasing the movie in theaters in mid-September certainly didn't help. College classes have already started by then, and a lot of private high schools have already started classes too.

I saw magazine ads for it, and one TV ads on ABCFamily though I havent watched that channel much recently. I also saw the preview on the Bring it On 4 DVD.

Boxofficemojo.com always puts out the numbers, there estimates for a while but there usualy on target. And the-numbers.com will for sales.

Estimates put DVD sales at 1.6 million. Sadly its a very low number. Good thing is at least a lot of people chose to rent them movie.

Oh that's too bad but not many people are into the types of movies she does. She needs to be in more serious or more adult type movies of instead of all these teenie booper movies. She has to grow now.

Yeah but I bet for every person that wants her to do something older if she does people are going to be like "what's Amanda doing?" I guess she just has to do what she thinks is best.

She has to find the balance where its a role thats older but doesnt turn off her younger viewers or her long time fans. There is plenty of stuff out there that is older while not being risqué, I dont think she would do anything risqué anyway, like comedies and love stories. Sydney White was on the goofier side. She still is 21, so she has to play a role being somewhere around a 21 year old.

Add another 4.4 million to those rentals for the second weeks total. Its having a good DVD rental run.
