"I don't know what happened with Heath Ledger; none of us really know," shrugged Amanda Bynes, "Hairspray" nominee. "I was a huge fan of Heath Ledger. I loved him in '10 Things I Hate About You' and 'Brokeback Mountain,' so I was devastated. I didn't know him at all, but I was a huge fan of his. It was shocking. I'm really sad that he's gone; I can't believe he's not here anymore. I still wanted to see what he had to offer. It seemed like he still had so many years left as an actor, and I just wanted to watch him. I'm really, really sad."

"I think you just need to be really careful," added Bynes. "A lot of people want to escape from their life, and I think you should try to realize we're only here for a short amount of time, and not to feel bad for yourself. Realize that you're doing OK."

He starred in a movie called Candy, which I really liked.

It's too bad, he was a really good actor. :(

hello everone just wanted to say a qick hello, i been a amanda bynes fan for the last 2 years , frist movie i ever saw of hers was she's the man and What I Like About you. umm im from long beach ca but grew up in Lake tahoe nv, i seen amanda bynes 2 times once at burbank at the pre screaning of Syndey White , which i got to talk to her, and the 2nd time at the Primire of SyDney white in WestWoold los angeles.

Amanda's words about Heath deeply touched me. She is such an inspiration! I just saw Brokeback for the first time about a week ago and it was a very touching film. He was extremely talented and will be sorely missed. I'm so glad he is going out on top with The Dark Knight film because it will be a huge hit. And I really hope that Terry Gilliam can find a way to finish his film with Heath in it.

I still haven't seen Brokeback Mountain, but I liked "10 Things I Hate About You."

I also liked A Knight's Tale quite a bit. (Check that one out if you guys haven't seen it.)

This has nothing to do with anything, but this kind of writing can really annoy me. Writing something like "shrugged" in a dialogue tag -- instead of "said" -- is usually a bad idea.
