Ya, her mom is from Canada.

Yeah. She was born on the border. Her head and shoulders are American. Her butt and legs are Canadian.

( I don't know why, but "half Canadian" sounds weird to me. I don't know why that is, since I'm so used to "half French" or "half Italian" or whatever. )
