5 Critics Choice Nominations for Hairspray

The Broadcast Film Critics Association have honored Hairspray with nominations for the 13th annual Critics’ Choice Awards. Nominations include:

- Best Acting Ensemble

- Best Young Actress - Nikki Blonsky

- Best Comedy Movie

- Best Family Film (Live Action)

- Best Song “Come So Far (Got So Far To Go)”

The 13th annual Critics Choice Awards will air live on VH1, January 7.

Hopefully Hairspray picks up at least one if not all of these awards!

Also, Hairspray sits atop Yahoo!’s Top 10 Most-Watchable DVD Releases, as the #1 DVD of the Season.

Great, it will probably get nods at almost every award show.

That means more chances Amanda will be at a few of them.

Glad to hear this.I sure hope it will get at least one award.The creatiing of was creation and the teamwork and the result were also superb.

Hmm mthis is discusable...It is indeed a good movie but I dotn think it its that good to be a cndid for Best movies of the Year 2007....As much as I support Amanda I don't think that movie has what it needs for a Movie of the Year...There were many other movies which would top it...But it is still a very interestign musical...But it could win the Musical of the Year award if such award would exist

I see your point but Nicki Blonsky just got a Golden Globe nomination for Hairspray and it was her first film. So I think they should have at least nominated Amanda because she was by far the best thing about Hairspray.

Hairspray is up for best film on my CPC Movie site end of year awards, also Nikki Blonsky is up for Breakthrough Star of 2007.
