Hairspray #3 selling DVD

According to <a href="http://www.the-numbers.com/dvd/charts/weekly/thisweek.php">The Numbers</a>, Hairspray is the #3 selling DVD for the week ending November 25, moving over 1,606,000 copies and generating $32,288,652 in sales. It is just behind Live Free or Die Hard with about $35 million, and Shrek the Third which sold more units than Hairspray but totaled less in overall sales.

Hairspray also scored another $9.6 million in rentals for the week, according to <a href="http://boxofficemojo.com/dvdrentals/chart/?wk=2007-11-25&p=.htm">Box Office Mojo</a>.
