Meeting Amanda at Dear premiere in NYC (August)

I know this was a while ago, but I wasn't a member of this board back in August

I got to meet Amanda back in August at the Dear launch at the Manhattan Mall on August 16. I've got pictures and my written experience over at my Livejournal and you can find that here. It's a picture heavy entry! Two day trip to NYC. The Amanda pictures and explanation are halfway through the entry.

I'll post the pictures and part of my entry here though, so you don't have to click all over the place

From the entry:
We (three friends, Ashley, Amy, Jon and then myself) found the mall and the store fairly easily. There was a line already, so we got in our place and waited. It was just about 9am when we got there. They said it was supposed to start around 10am, supposedly. At about 9:30, Amy and I went to find a bathroom. We came back to the line and they were giving away free stuff. I love free stuff! I got a t-shirt, pins, stickers, and Amanda Bynes playing cards? Oh yes.

So! We moved up in the line a little bit, but the signing hadn't really started. All of a sudden (around 11am) you hear screaming and you can see Amanda Bynes walking out across the mall; she was walking the line of people, shaking hands and saying thanks for coming. Oh yes.

I got my camera ready. My battery was dying and I feared the worst. Haha. She came over... and she took my hand... and said, "Thank you for coming!"... I almost died. No lies. She was super cheery and wicked nice through the whole ordeal. AND she's crazy beautiful too... She exists outside of movies and television? Surely, you jest. I continued to utter, "She touched me! Amanda Bynes touched me!" for the rest of the line waiting... and into the night.

Again, there was more waiting. At around 11am, they started letting people into the store to get things signed. I don't remember about the time we got in there, but it was crazy strict. You had to hand over your bag(s) and cameras before you went up to meet her. You had to have her sign only the sheet that they gave you and nothing else. No personalization and no pictures with her. You could take pictures afterwards, which is what I did, of course.

I went up and said hi... I turn into a stuttering fool when it comes to celebrities. I said, "It's so nice to meet you!"
And she says, "It's nice to meet you too!" and she signed the sheet.
I said, "Thank you so much!"
And she said, "You're welcome! Thanks for coming out today!"

Yayyyy! I frolicked over take pictures, which was rather difficult to do, that being the reason I don't have a great, great shot of her. Jon came and found us after we had settled ourselves. He'd put on one of the stickers from Amanda's clothing line on his shirt. I guess Amanda noticed and said, "I like your sticker!" Haha. Excellent.

Ashley and I checked out some of the clothes that were released for Amanda's line. They're actually pretty cute. There's a lot more than was previewed online.

That's all I got. I know this is a long entry, but I thought you guys would appreciate it! :D I know I get a little out of control in my description of the meeting. I get pretty fangirly when it comes to celebrities, particularly ones that I love.

Haha. They're in my last picture I posted! :D They gave them away from free. I can take more pictures of them if people would like to see the card faces.

I have no idea. They were just handing them out for free at the NYC signing.

I can ask my three friends who went if they have extras, or don't need/want theirs. I know one of my friends got a little out of control with the free stuff. She was just grabbing everything. We also got some Live-Strong like bracelets, that say Dear by AB on them. I know for a fact that my friend got two or three of those.

It's so cool that you got to meet her. I was going to go to there that same day but it was during the daytime so I had to be at work. I hope I'll have another chance in the future.

I looked on Ebay, I could find the card but there is a lot of Dear stuff for sale there. So many peices from the line that I have never seen before. Somebody has a store that only sells Dear and Bittin.
