Hairspray DVD coming out November 20, 2007

First look at artwork, packaging and featured content for the upcoming Hairspray DVD.

Both the Two-Disc DVD and Blu-ray “Shake and Shimmy” Editions will be packaged with a unique two-sided, transparent sleeve, that can be turned to show either Hairspray’s adult or teenage ensemble. (pictured below)

The Two-Disc “Shake and Shimmy” Edition will also be featured as part of a deluxe gift set featuring a metal school locker that can be personalized and decorated with custom photos and stickers as well as an exclusive Hairspray tote bag. The locker is available in either “Penny Pink” or “Link Lime.” (pictured below)

Single-Disc Edition:

16×9 widescreen (1.85:1) version of the film or 4×3 fullscreen version of the film
English Dolby Digital 5.1 EX Surround Sound
English & Spanish subtitles
Closed captions
Two-Disc “Shake and Shimmy” Edition:

Great stuff pranks! I was just looking for this info about an hour ago but couldn't find an exact date.

I like how the DVD looks in that last picture. It's like an old record lol

Doest the 2 disc thing come with that gift set, or is that like a 3rd option?

""New Line Records will release a limited run, 2 disc deluxe collector’s edition of the Hairspray soundtrack, which will feature karaoke versions of “Hairspray” hits, non-soundtrack songs, never-before-heard outtakes, demo recordings, trading cards and more in a special gift set package!""

that's wonderful.
I'm going to ask my mother to buy it for my birthday present

and then later I'll get the special edition of the soundtrack.

..I think they mean that the karaoke songs are the music tracks w/o lyrics so you can sing them.
