So I guess we don't have to wonder anymore...the Sydney White myspace sent this out:

Thanks for the info. Last time she was on TRL my cable complany have a technical glitch which blocked MTV, only MTV.

I know that's what I was thinking. Unless she's going to be in New York again for other talk shows and is going back. If it's pretaped then MTV must think we're dumb...
