wow, I just saw Sydney White AND Amanda!!!

I just got back from Sydney White showing at the AMC theater. The movie was good, but the best part was seeing Amanda in person! It started at 7pm, but she showed up a little late, around 7:30pm. She thanked everyone for coming down and even interacted with the audience (Q&A session)... it was really cool, and she looked super cute with a little red sundress, which she explained was from her Dear clothing collection. She also mentioned that she's deciding between 2 different movies as her next project... can't wait to see what she picks! Anyway, after about half an hour or so of talking with the audience, they premiered the movie. Overall, it was good.. can't say it was amazing, but it was sweet and funny, which was to be expected from an Amanda film. I must say though, she looked stunning in it... a definite treat for the true Amanda fans!

Wow, you very lucky. You got to go to the best screening, good time to travel to CA.

It must have been very cool to see her. Nice to hear she is deciding between 2 movies.

most of what she talked about was stuff we already knew from previous interviews, like her first gig being Nestle Buncha Crunch, her dad being a dentist, etc... but what was more interesting, was just watching her speak, kinda fidgeting around, like she was kinda nervous, and her interaction with the fans.. she seems like a super sweet person. Her manager (or some authority) came out after a while and said they needed to start the movie because of time, but she turned to the audience and basically said "I don't care, I'm going to answer a few more questions for the fans that have waited so long in line" which I thought was really cool of her to do. There were several rows of people in the front with cameras and video recorders, and I know someone has some great footage, so I'm hoping one of those will leak, cuz she looked amazing.. especially up close. I smacked myself for not bringing my digital camera!

I don't remember all the questions asked, but here's some that I remember. I'm going to summarize the best I can.

Do you have a myspace page? no, because she values her privacy and didn't want any stalkers coming after her. (funny, because this event was actually sponsored by Myspace! lol)

Would ever get back into television? for now she's focusing on movies, but later would consider doing something like 'Everybody Loves Raymond', because that's one of her fave shows.

What kind of roles do you like to play in movies? right now she likes the teen and college movies, because that's what she liked growing up, but now that she's getting older, some of it is slightly edgier, and that Sydney White is probably her most edgy role so far (which isn't saying much, considering it's Amanda-wholesome lol)

What movie did you enjoy filming the most? "She's the Man" and "Sydney" were most fun.

Favorite on-screen kiss? she was having a hard time with this question, and people from the audience were screaming out Zac Efron, and Oliver James, then someone yelled Brad Pitt, and she thinks for a second and says "wait, I never kissed Brad Pitt", and the audience busted up.. it was funny.

Who is your inspiration when acting? I think she said everyone around her.. she described when filming 'She's the Man', that she tried to be Jack Black. Even though it didn't really translate when watching her in the movie, that's definitely who she was thinking about.

YA, always like on TV talk shows. I think she sometimes isnt comfortable being famous, she doesnt care about celebrity unlike some other teen stars. Not saying thats a bad thing, just more like a real person.

Yeah I see that too open. It seems like sometimes she just wants to make movies and not be all caught up in the glamour and interviews and stuff where celebrities kind of have to promote themselves. Which is what a Hollywood actress should be. Not all Lindsay Lohan, "Look I spent a day on a movie set! I'm going to go to some premieres and get my picture taken and to some night clubs and then maybe I'll work again tomorrow."
