Amanda "In Talks" for High School Musical 3?

Could someone please debunk or verify a rumour that Amanda Bynes is to appear in High School Musical 3, playing a relative of Troy Bolton AKA her Hairspray co-star Zac Efron.

What's my source? Unfortunate to say it's Wikipedia, because I would love for this to be true. She is also credited on High School Musical 2... which makes me doubt this rumour even more.

If it was listed on there, its not anymore, on ether 2 or 3. Its very hard to find stuff actualy debunking rumours, I usualy wait for some lagitimate source like Variety before I beleive such stuff. Sometimes the rumours turn out true, other times not.

HSM 2 is already finished filming a few months back.

But now that her and Zac are freinds, it is possible that she may take a part in HSM 3.

Doubtful. She's a nick kid at heart and I doubt she'd trade her alliance for disney. she's much bigger than HSM.

High School Musical would definitely be a step backwards for her. Even though they are very popular, they are not very well made and Amanda can do much better.

wikipedia is not reliable for movie info at all.
A couple weeks ago it said that Amanda was going to star in a movie called 9 and 1/2 weeks.

High School Musical 3 is aiming to be released in cinemas October 2008, not on the Disney Channel.
