I think Amanda will sing by herself in songs in "Hairspray"

I was previewing some of the songs from the 2002 Original Broadway Cast recording of Hairspray and I think Amanda will be singing by herself in songs even if she doesn't have a solo.

I was listening to "You Can't Stop the Beat" and Tracey sings a part and then says, "Whatcha think Penny?" or something along those lines and then Penny (the Brodway atress having a very annoying voice, too) begins to sing.

And she'll probably be singing in "Without Love" since it's a love song between Link, Tracey, Penny, and Seaweed.

She doesn't have the best voice. But she always could of got lessions for the movie.

I hope so. I to think she will sing a part, it is a musical after all.

But, Marc Shaiman, among others, wrote at least 5 of the songs for this movie. So its hard to compare it to the older version, many of the songs are originals.

When did you hear her sing? The voice coach lady person said her voice was "spectacular", Hairspray movie blog posted/

She sang on WILAY, but only as a joke. Which is why I want to hear a song with her so much.

She did sing well so she sing as well in the movie

I think that people are going to be amazed at how well she does sing! I hope she has a song all to herself. That would be so cool!

Well anyone can be a good singer these days with all the technology of music studios. They can make anyone sound good but I think Amanda will step up and do a good job.

That's true about those technology. But I think Amanda singing will be all natural. She has experience in the theater community before. She starred in several singing plays such as Annie, Sound of Music, and the Music man.

So true Pranks! She has lots of experience and people are going to be pleasantly surprised! Not that I'm trying to imply that she is suddenly Kelly Clarkson or something but she does have a nice voice!
