According to IMDB, Hairspray is coming to teathers in July.

I don't know if is the official date but in the site it says "Summer 2007" so let's hope this date is true.

Hairspray is really coming to teathers on July.
Even though, the DVD will only be avaliable on December.

Thats good news, July is still a long ways off.

These things sometimes change as the date gets closer, both theater and DVD dates.

I do not think it is a good idea releasing at that time. it is being release between Harry Potter and the Simpsons.

But maybe Hairspray can suprise us all and do very well

Any time during the summer will be filed with huge movies. In the summer is when all the big budget blockbuster movies come out. Those are two big movies but it depends on what age group this movie is targeting. I have to wait for the trailer to know a little more about what its going to be like.

This movie has the biggest cast in terms of star power for an Amanda Movie, other then maybe Robots. It also has a popular name. If this movie gets good advertising and promotion, it could be a huge blockbuster capable of competing with anything (granted that its done good).
