Default Plugin

Well, for two days I always get the message that an unallowed Plugin wants to do something and that I have to close Firefox for that. but then I canīt restart it and have to reboot my whole computer then.

does anyone know what that is? cause itīs only at this site and only when I start my computer first and go here then.

Go to Tool > Add-ons
Then take a screen shot of the add-ons window.

I want to see what, if any, plug-ins you have installed in FireFox. It could be that any plug-in that you installed may have been corrupted.

Wait... that's a FireFox extension, not a plugin.

Uninstall the extension and restart FireFox. See if it still gives you the message.

1) If you don't see that message again, it was that extension giving you problems.

2) If you uninstall that extension and still see that message, you screwed something up in FireFox. I would back up your bookmarks and uninstall FireFox and re-install a fresh copy.

Try step 1 first.

This screenshot you took:

Shows me you have no plugins installed, only one extension: SKYPE.

To save your favourites (or Bookmarks rather), I'm not sure how you have your Windows installed but this should give you an idea where to find it. For me, this is where my bookmarks are stored:

C:\Documents and Settings\Ph0enix\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ngkwiqvv.default\

For you, it might be something like:

C:\Documents and Settings\Aloha\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default\

The ones there ^marked in red is what will be different for you. When you reach that location on your hard drive you will find a HTML file called bookmarks.html Save this file! bookmarks.html contains all your bookmarks. If you keep a backup copy of bookmarks.html somewhere safe, if you where to re-install firefox as a fresh copy, all you would have to do is go and find that same location

C:\Documents and Settings\Aloha\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default\

... and take a copy of your bookmarks.html and overwrite the new file with your back up copy.

So, my German sphinx, Follow my first instructions:

Uninstall the SKYPE extension and restart FireFox. See if it still gives you the message.

If you don't see that message again, it was that extension giving you problems.

Yes, yes, the message comes up randomly. Well, if do you what I say and the message still comes up, let me know and await further instructions.

Do what Phoenix said and ignore my PM until you try out his suggestion first.

I never had it before! and it seems itīs only at Fanhost, all the other sites donīt have problems Can Marc help somehow? Cause I heard it could be something with the Flash advertisemend or something. So if it does not come uop anymore with this provider, what can I do then? cause then it really seems itīs something like this Flash thing?

Keep browsing the web and FH like a normal day. Until Friday comes, see if you still get that message. If it's one of the flash banners, let Marc know.

Jesus Christ... please forgive this lost german child for she knows not what she does...

It means use Firefox like any other day, like any normal day, like you've always used it: for fanhost, for youtube, for rating guys in amihotornot.com, for whatever. Now that you've removed Skype, use firefox like nothing was ever wrong and see if you still get that error message.

Your provider has nothing to do with you browser problems.
