Something weird is happening here

wow, now I´m confused or whatever, but almost everytime I refresh the site now, it looks all different.

I mean not that this is bad, I´m just confused to see all the new looks and yeah.

I'm trying to streamline the way that the custom forum logos/colors work so we don't have duplicate copies of the same templates sitting around everywhere. It might make a few things look a little funny, but nothing should be broken. If something looks really wrong, please let me know so I can fix it. Once I'm done, if any forum mods want new logos for their forums, please send them to me -- I can set you up with a new logo (or replace an existing one) really easily.

Also, I'm finally launching the first version of the new FanHost.com site tonight/tomorrow morning. To make everything fit together nicely, the default colors for the forum will change to match the new site. It is a white background, so be prepared for a big change to the look. I've shown it to a few people so far and the feedback has generally been positive.

If you really don't like the new colors, you can scroll to the bottom of the main forums page and choose "Old Style" from the dropdown box (starting late tonight/tomorrow) and it will switch it back to the red & black colors that are used now.... (but, I hope you like the new colors.. it is time for a change

)

I have one little things that annoys me. In Chad and Wentworth forum, you see a 't' underneath the add on the left.

well, one thing in the Josh forum, it´s not a real problem, but a change.
The line which tells you about PM and stuff is now above the logo and not like it was before, under the logo

and I´m really excited about the new look

Looks good marc, change is fun. A problem though. On the forum main pages the forum tools and search drop menus are crossing behind the ad down the left.

well, now Fanhost is really working strange!
I just posted something in the Josh forum, and my post was not shown below the last post but on top of that somewhere in the middle.

the time also is not working right. it shows me 6 hours behind although in my profile everything is like it was before, in my time

I hope you can change that Marc

and the Line of PM is on top of the logo again.

and only the thread which has the newest post is marked fat. all the others, if tehre are new posts in it or not, are not marked

yes, it´s a bit odd here at the moment.

time not workin as it should do, posts get posted somewhere in the middle, threads not marked as unread when there are new posts in it......

We're having a few server problems at the moment which are causing intermittent outages lasting a few minutes. Also, somehow the system clock was wrong -- which explains the issues everyone was seeing last night and early this morning with posts showing up below older ones on forums. Should be resolved shortly. Thanks for your patience.

As for logos - yeah, it is a lot easier to update them now. I changed how they work so that I don't have to actually duplicate & edit the default template for every forum that wants a custom logo. So, it is faster & easier than it used to be..... send away!

I guess it's not just me who noticed the slight shifts in the table grid. The Whatever forum's thread listing looks compressed width-wise and shifted more towards the left.

Seriously? I'm quite impressed because it used to be that [after a final vote for a logo] if you wanted a logo or colour change, the mods/admin would act as if you were asking for one of their kidneys.

I found logo changes to be ok but colour changes were a trial. I asked for that to be changed about 3 times with no affect. I'm glad it's going to be easier for the new mods.
