I've always wondered if you, the administrators, know how many active members you have.

So, do you know the exact number of active members FHN has, or shall I conduct an independent survey?

We had a thread in Whatever in the past with this objective.
Why don't you open another one there? Should be interesting and a supermod, Rory, could post the announcement on the top of the main page.

I believe there is some kind of statistics menu with some of that type of info and capable of database searching.

There are about 800 active posters on the forums (i.e. registered users who logged in during the past month). Many more "lurkers" who never post, though.

Yes, but some of those accounts are very old.

The forums get a lot of traffic - but only a small % of people seem to register to post messages. Most just read, download the pictures, etc.

What about a party at Jeff's house?

There's space there for 800 members without a problem.

800 is kind of a lot considering thats only only one month and the members list is much older. I think we had a lot more, I think the members list was purged not to long ago down from 25,000.

Most people who come dont post. Kinda like me, I know I visit several forums but really only post on this one.
