Default Smilies

My smilies aren't working. This makes me sad. If I could I would insert the sad faced smilie here.

Also, my ability to put things in bold or italics is gone as well.

maybe you have to change your message box

try this:
go user cp - edit options - then down to the bottom where it says " Miscellaneous Options - Message Editor Interface" then go to that list and take "Enhanced interface - full WYSIWYG edeting

hope that helps

Thanks Kers, I just wondered about that. Even in "Standard Editor" you should have smilies.

Man ...
I can't express myself without the smilies. They help a lot when the members are reading our posts. And the replies are fun with them.

What's your preferred Charles? And yours Aloha and Ophelia???

There's another thing to be observed.
When you click in the "post reply button", inside the "Additional Options", there is the "Miscellaneous Options" with the following items:

[x] Show your signature
[x] Automatically parse links in text
[ ] Disable smilies in text

They must be exactly in that way with a blank in the "Disable Smilies in the text".

And ophelia ...
if you followed these explanations and happened nothing, only the administrator can help you.
So, pm Vulture or Marc.

I had this happen to me the other day. I used the old helpdesk solution and shut down the browser and re-opened it and it fixed it up. Simplistic I know, but it may work.
