Login error for user "Cat"

Okay, so you guys fudged up with this. You imported the wrong mod for the Orlando Bloom forum and totally screwed over the real one.

The one you have now is some unknown, from Orlando, Florida. The real one is from Norway, whose original log-in name was *Catherine*. I know that you guys fudged up even more and imported screen names rather than login names. She changed her screenname to Cat, but the one you imported shares the same login and screenname. So fix it, because now the one who matters can't get in.

also, it should be noted that the import was done correctly.. in fact it is not difficult. UBB is so messed up that things didn't cross over correctly. For example, it cut off all post counts prior to like 2000. set login names as screen names for some people etc. even formatting in peoples sigs got messed... Total pain in the ass.

Seems to be working. Except the board keeps calling me *Catherine*, I also have to log in with that name (though I've always had to). It says *Catherine* is mod, and in the user log in the forums it says *Catherine* is browsing. Yet it says my "ubb loginname" is Cat in my profile... It's confusing. Is there any way to change my sign in name to Cat? Or would that be too much work? The Cat who originally registered with that name hasn't been here for years..

Edit in: I just noticed it says "Last post by *Catherine*, but my actual post says Cat...

Maybe UBB was just not created for changing in favor of VB. The thing with the signatures ... I noticed SilverSpoon's sig. It seems as HTML was considered too much of a security risk to the programmers of VB. And with the login and screen names: the way I got it "ubb loginname" and "ubb displayname" seem to be extra values. Doesn't look to me as if a board should support values that regard other boards. So basically they don't do anything at all, they're just extra information for the forgetful like me.
