One more thing, the links are the very top of the page in between the FH logo and the Teenhollywood logo dont work. Probably because there to forums.fanhost.com/ rather then fanhost.com/. If your actualy planning to keep them since the same links are right below.

I agree with Open about whether they need to be there. With all the links right underneath, very simple btw, the top banner would look cleaner without the links.

^I was thinking that, but I realized it might be used to replace the current banner on all the sites.

The links are there as a bit of an experiment in SEO (search engine optimization). It is the first text/links the crawlers "see" since they only really see text. Highly relevant links with link text which accurately describes the pages better than simply the "Photos", "News", etc links.... i.e. "Celebrity Fan Site Hosting" is more descriptive than "Fan Sites" but can't fit in the main navbar. Same goes with "Celebrity Pictures" rather than just "Photos".

I changed nothing or anything. So, what is wrong now?

Marc, do you know whatīs wrong? Or do you know any help to make the new one stick again?

That's so strange how it keeps reappearing. You did totally clear your cookies, right?

You said you were running Firefox? Do you have any non-standard add-ons installed (like password managers, toolbars, pop-up blockers, etc...).

To be honest, I'm really not sure why it keeps switching back. The new one is the default. If you've cleared your cookies, I don't see why it would switch back to the old layout....:(

It always switches back into the old one when I try new. Also when I go to default new layout, the announcement forums and some others still switch back to the old layout.
I donīt know whatīs wrong, cause it was working days before very fine without any problems.
But now it seems broken or whatever. I have no clue, but itīs weird, and I would like to have the new layout

I have noticed with IE 6, that read posts are not immeadiately marked as read and that the last post is not always the post shown on the main menu page. This may be related to the use of an ad blocker or it may be that IE is not updating the cookies everytime.
With IE 7 running under Windows XP SP2 these things do not occur.

Now Iīm really worried!

I was just logged off, although I didnīt log off.
But now the layout is okay.

oh, and another problem is, that I sometimes have to refresh a site, forum, or thread several times before it really opens for me (Itīs not my computer, I donīt have these problems on other sites)

well, I donīt know what, but somehow Fanhost is scaring me the last days

I actually get that with IE7. For me its nothing new to the new layout. Just cookies not refreshing. You can attempt to force it with the
Mark Forums Read button at the bottm.

That sounds like a good sign. When the cookies are deleted you should enter the site logged off. Hopefully the layout stays the way it is. About the speed, you have talked about that before so its nothing to do with the new site layout though I do find it loads a little slower lately. Since you said other sites you visit are fast and fanhost runs are a decent speed for most im not sure what it can be. The only thing I can think of with the speed is it has something to do with your internet provider (being from germany) not connecting well to the fanhost servers or visa versa.

hmm, I donīt know, but I heard from other people that it is slow for them too.

well, as long as it stays now, itīs okay, but it sucks a bit, needing to refresh a thousand time before I can see a site

Bit since it got renewed I get a strange message, which says continue working with this Flash.09-something thing...and then I get a Error and the side is suddenly closed!Am I the only one who has this problem?
Or maybe it's just my computer!
