The maximum file size for avatars has been increased to 35K from 20K.

Is there a certain number of post I should have before uploading my own avatar? I don't see an option to upload. Only to pick from the avatar gallery.

Sim, there is!

You must post at least 50 posts. So, you will be able to choose an avatar that you like in those measures told by Marc...
